Hi All, with the amount of oils available now and having been away from bikes for many years, what would be a good oil for the autolube on the LC? Obviously the smell of the Castrol is a great hit still, but I have read that there are many others now as good. Also is it still better to go for the pre mix than the auto lube? All recommendations welcome, Thanks, Mick.

Hey everyone, I got my new caliper in for my xs750 special (super excited face ), I was trying to bleed the front brakes. There are two front brakes on the XS750 special. However, I could not get the fluid to come through the bleed nipple. I kept hearing little gasps of air but no fluid. The master cylinder didn't seem to be draining at all either. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so are there any solutions that you can think of? Thanks for reading, Brian

long story short - i bought a chinese bike, it was rubbish, so i ended up in a dispute with the dealer and i didnt register the bike in my name as i thought it would be going back to the seller soon. i didnt have the V5 with the bike, it was supplied with just the new keeper slip. the bike has now been stolen and I'm not registered as the keeper, is there anyway i can get it registered? the form for a new V5 needs to have the VIN number, which i dont have, i bought a HPI check but that just gives the engine number, not the VIN. i know i'm a numpty for not registering it, and this whole disaster has taught me some lessons, but i really need the insurance to pay o…

Recently aquired a 1978 DT 125e. It has been sitting for at least 20 years. So I knew it was going to take some doing to get it on the road again. Here is a list of the things that I have replaced: 1. Battery 2. Air filter 3. Coil 4. Points (I didnt replace the condenser because in my experience they usually dont go bad, plus it was hard wired in an looked to be a PITA) 5. Fuel and Oil lines 6. Removed the carburetor and rebuilt it leaving the float set at were it was when I removed it. I checked: 1. cleaned the gas tank and the fuel switch, including the strainers. (it drains fuel at about a half gallon/min now) 2. had to free up the stuck clutch disks. 3. r…

So here is the scene. Riding at 3am on a Thursday morning, clear road, good conditions and good lighting. Hardly anyone on the road. Fuelled up, necked a red bull and was feeling awake and alert. So riding in a 30 mph zone, through a small village, rounded a bend and OH HELLO CAR, YOU ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!, so much so he even was head on with me as I was as far left as I could go!!! Anyways, strangely I did not panic, swerved and avoided a head on, now the problem, not enough braking time, a kerb and wall in my path, noooooooooooooooo, I had to bin the bike!! Over the handle bars I go landing 5 feet away, and manage to watch my bike to a 360 flip and la…

Been having few starter motor issues recently. While an auto-spark friend tries to repair my starter, I phoned my local Honda agent to price a replacement. I nearly choked when I was quoted £615+vat = £738 !!! Needless to say I passed. That's a mental price.

Well, had my first ever run on an RD today & I didn't want to give it back! It's a world apart from what I'm used to but loved every minute. But don't think my budget would stretch to buy this (even if it were for sale, but it def isn't) It was the Roberts replica I've mentioned before, less than 8k on the clock, immaculate condition. But I def got a new addiction - I want an RD!!

Hey folks! Was in Belfast recently, had some time to kill so headed to local bike dealer. Oh my god. Think I need to sell a kidney cos I've seen so many nice new toys it's crazy. Crafty bugger salesman saw me drooling over new Yams & homed in like a heat-seeker! Had a gorgeous new White R1 & a nice black/White R6 sitting, the bugger is trying to tempt me with test rides. Why do we torture ourselves!! I should've went to B&Q instead.

Yes i know its been in all the papers that we will be living in igloo's tommorow but. Last year the TDR played sulky just as the weather turned to ratshit, this morning it dumped the better part of a litre of liquid gold from the left carb (thats after struggling home on 11/2 cylinders )so i had to go back in the car.... So back to the DT now then, heh neighbours will be chuffed at 0400 tommorow.....
