Bloody typical, bought the daughter a cbr125r as a step up from the scoot, yzf's were stupid money for old knackers before you ask. Throw in the need for cool points in this modern world i gave in. Yeah, Honda 125 bullet proof, can forget about it. Can still see Andy's 80k sr 125 in my head. Well guess who has a stripped out 125 needing a cam chain tensioner and a cam chain. Apparently 20k is about all you can expect from the cca and when it goes guess what it takes with it. Then to add insult to injury can you strip the flywheel with the standard 24/27internal puller we all have rolling around in the bottom of our kit box, nope its a one off internal threa…

...today. Not as warm Pete in Spain perhaps but some nice blue sky and sunshine and cracking scenery. The original pictures I had in mind didn't work out as the hills were a bit too haze shrouded so after a round-a-bout trip I ended up here, near to where I work a lot. The hill opposite is where I went next, top right hand side you can make out Loch Ness. Then across to the other side of the Glen for a better view of Loch Ness. Then back down to the main road and along the side of Loch Ness to a hotel, and guess who had waded ashore? Didn't look too impressed by the Divvy though! Probably not too many days like this le…

Ok, I'm really at the end of my tether with my damn FZ400. Starts ok. Runs ok, ticks over ok. Rides ok. After about 3/4 mile - cuts out, won't re-start. Leave it a couple of hours - restarts ok, runs once again and then does it again. Checked the petrol, not a problem, getting through fine. Checked the carbs as much as I can, seem ok. Someone suggested the coils - just ran it around a little while until it cut out, checked for a spark - yup, no problem there, spark to all 4 plugs. Had it idling in the garage for a while before it cut out today - not long before it happened she started sounding as though she was missing a cylinder, but just every now and t…

I had to go into Bradford Town and parked my bike in the usual place outside an Army careers office. When I had done my shit I come back to the bike and my helmet and gloves have been stolen. I went to the army careers to ask if they'd seen out. I always say hello to them when they are having a cig outside so a few of them recognise me. Checked the cameras and the bike is just out of view. Just bought a new pair of motocross gloves as well. Anyway luckily one of the army lads lent me his helmet so I didn't have to pay £20 to get a taxi home to get one of my others. Good job I have a spare. I usually lock the helmet to the handlebars but lately have slacked off, not that I…

.....the Heel plates are scratched already! I think it's from all the dirt sticking to the inside of my boots while riding in the wet and then it get's scrubbed and scratched onto the heel plates while changing gear and applying the rear brake! Is their any way in getting the scatches out? Bit of T-Cut polish, will that do? I know I can't wrap my bike in cotton wool but you have to try!

Hi all hope everyone is well in Yamaha land. Went out for a tootle yesterday, bit of a shakedown run really, anyway on the way back in there is a stretch of about two miles which is pretty good for a blast to finish off. Yesterday l followed a shogun up the hill that leads to the stretch. This geezer in the Shogun suddenly became all Jenson Button after spotting me in his mirrors. What a laugh he was all over the road trying to keep me behind him. They are bloody fast them shoguns he reached nearly 90mph at one point. Laugh l nearly fell off!!! what a plonker rodney. Any other daft car stories out there Catch ya later.

Great to see Nitro Nori back in the hunt for some WSB points with a podium finish in the 2nd race @ Silverstone today! Pulled off a 4th in the 1st race due to a fuel delivery prob.........but got the holeshot in the 2nd race & ended up getting a 3rd when the checkers came out Also interesting to see the Ducati boyz give Corser some grief @ the front too.

I moan at £10 for a trim and often do it myself - grade 1 or 0 all over. Cheap and easy to look after without helmet hair. I tried trimming the dog a couple of months back to save a bit if cash and missed bits here and there and shaved him elsewhere. So here's £35 worth of wash, cut and dry:

A guy goes into a seafood restaurant and asks to see the dishes of the day. The waiter wheels over a trolley and the man examines the dishes. "I'll have the little green squid with the hairy lip, please" says the man. "O.K." replies the waiter and calls out "Gervais!" A little French chef appears with a large knife, the waiter instructs the chef to kill the little green squid with the hairy lip. Gervais is just about to slice at the poor squid when he notices a tear running down its face. Gervais is touched, and admits that he hasn't the heart to kill the squid. "Not to worry" says the waiter, and calls out "Hans!!" at which an enormous German bloke co…

I joined the club yesterday and then posted an intro in the wrong place! Typical! Nobody will see it in the middle of Street bikes and stuff. Hi everyone. I pick up my new MT-01 today and am sitting here full of excitement and a fair bit of trepidation! Anyone else out there with an MT and can give any advice - other than hang on tight?!! Dave

Hello everyone, there have been several posts on the forum asking about replacing the YBR125's feeble headlight (mine's a '56 plate for the record)yet none of them seem to have been resolved as to whether the result was better, so i thought, as my halogen replacement should be installed within the week i'd post one that will be resolved If anyone has upgraded their lights on any Yamaha then feel free to discuss (p.s gladly, the headlight on the YBR only needs 3 screws removed to access, on my piaggio 50cc, it would have been about 20!)

Awesome, hand-drawn, zoomable map of London. Instead of buildings, this guy has put in interesting facts about every neighbourhood and the level of detail is amazing http://www.bl.uk/magnificentmaps/map4.html
