Hi, I am after FZX 750 carbs (diaphragms specifically but try to buy these new - £100 each!!! wtf??..). Does anyone know if there are any other bikes/models which would have compatible parts with FZX 750 '86? I don't seem to find the answer online. There aren't exactly many carbs flying around, but for example FZ 750 are plenty. Any ideas anyone please?? Thanks

G'day everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself. Restoring an '80 XS 250 but thinking of putting a 400 engine in instead, parts and even just engines are a bastard of a thing to find in Australia. How you all going? Cheers

I haven't had a trail bike for 30+ years, but am getting my new (to me) TT600R delivered in an hour. It is in great condition and has only travelled 1100Ks (660miles). Looking forward to some serious dirt time, lots of forests around here. I'll post a pic asap.

G'Day all Mark here from Blue Mountains Sydney Australia. Having just brought a Yamaha TRX 850 thought I would try to chat with fellow Yamaha owners to say hi and share stories on how good Yamaha's are. So feel free to reply

Its taken all day to sort out my mates garage after some twunts tried to nick his bikes. They came 4 days ago but couldnt get in, made a mess of the doors tho. This time they got in after cutting his new locks open, didnt take anything, but checked out what locks and chains were on his 3 machines. His Kwak 636 is in his house now, another has gone to a secure lockup and the other machine cant be moved, to big... Mr plod said "Nothing can be done" Great that is. Surely someone saw the vehicle they came in, it was big enough, you can clearly see the tyre marks. So, if you live in Rossendale area and have a garage thats away from your house, be warned theres bike …

So I have an '05 Vstar 650 classic. I have a small gas leak from the front carb drain screw. At least thats where it seems to be leaking. It drips maybe 2 drops a day if I ride it. What would be the best thing to do? Should I clean the carb or could the problem be something else?

Hey all - any suggestions on removing light rust from a tank? I've used Rusteco in the past - it works great but is pricey - cus you really need a gallon of the stuff to do a good job...$100 for the liquid and $135 for the gel. You CAN re-use it -which is great but still procey. Rusteco I've also found a Yamaha product for $40 on CoolRetroBikes.com - a two part system - one removes the rust - the other coats the tank. I'm not a fan of coating gas tank at ALL - I think it's asking for trouble (short of a little motor oil - that's different.) Yamaha Rust remover/treatmment I don't want to use anything Toxic - my rust is pretty light. I flushed the tank out and i…

Ok wise ones if you would be so kind I need some advice, I am going to rebuild the XJs engine this winter (as I have run out of projects!) and wanted to know if you might tell me the best place to get a gasket set, I can buy an EBAY one for about £50 and it has most of the bits I need but cheap is NOT always cheerful, so any one with a (clean) thought on where might be a reasonable price coupled with a reasonable quality set supplier would be appreciated.

Hello from Tassie, and yes, we have roads and petrol down here, no horses and carts. top site, where or which country is this based in? some friends and i have a site called www.trailriderz.com.au which we meet and waffle crap to each other and keep alive a healthy Yamaha versus KTM shit hanging match... which there is really no competition.. If anyone who rides a traily is heading down to Tassie, drop a line and we can take you to some of the best riding spots on Earth (we think)
