Hi does anyone out there know if a FZR 400 3TJ1 exhaust will fit a 86 1WG model or any other model will fit one. I can't seem to find a replacment any where pls help cheers.

hi everyone i just sold/swapped my £230 seat ibiza for a 400exup and am just wondering what they are like??? it is red and white, and has 40k on the clock and has clocked up 100 miles per year for three years the lad says it will need sprockets and chain doing in about 1000 miles and a back tyre for its test not a prob as he says the front sprocket hasnt bin welded on like my 600 :evil: but it sounds ok so i thought id ask what they are like??? cheers

My FZR 400 doesnt like starting, sometimes it starts no problem, but most of the time it just doesnt want to fire. When it does start i need to hold throttle half open for it to idle, any more or any less it just cuts out. It clears after a while of holding it at tick over, tonight it was running on 3 and then suddenly started running on 4 then went back to 3, it runs ok after 4 thousand revs. Just wondering if anyone could help me? Thanks.

Can anyone tell me of another shock that will be suitable for the fzr 600 genesis 1990. Im having a bugger of a time getting a good second hand one .Am already well over budget so am not keen on buying new if at all avoidable . cheers

hi all,does anyone have any pics of a 1989 subframe as all the fixing lugs and brackets have been cut off my new project for a different back end.cant fit original panels on cos dont know were they should be or what they look like to replicate and weld back on, plus has anyone got a right hand fairing for the same year as i have a piece missing out of mine ,many thanks

Hi everyone. I bought my first bike on saturaday. Its a 1996 fzr 600r (foxeye) which i bought private. I absolutely love it by the way! Its got fsh, 20k miles, recently serviced, 2 new tyres, new brakes new stainless downpipes, great condition for its age and it only cost me a grand! Its pretty much perfect except for one thing thats bugging me. The pillion seat on it doesn`t seem to fit down properly. It is as if it is missing some fixings at front of the seat. I slide the front of the seat in first then push the back down and it clicks and locks in but there is nothing to slide the front part of the seat into so when it locks into place the front part of the seat kin…

hi i need help in locating a cdi unit for my fzr 750 (digital ignitor tid14-60 made but hitachi) can any one help me i thinks this is what i need as i have no spark and i have changed the coil packs already cheers steve

Hi All, Took the air box off my fzr to replace air filter and managed to pull the thin pipe that connects underneath off the bottom out of engine bay, I cant see where it is supposed to connect. Anyone help? Cheers Mike

Hi folks Not sure if anyone can help me , but i am purchasing an FZR thou Exup RU, 1991 on a J plate subject to her being HPI clear etc. I have the chassis number etc and just wanted to confirm that it's definitely a uk bike and not an import. Would anyone know what number and letters etc the uk bikes chassis numbers are so that i can confirm ? Had a gixxer 750Y that i sold last year due to personal reasons and now fancied something else, but not quite as dear. Will i notice much difference in power , handling etc. If anyone has an opinion of the RU i'd love to hear them, good or bad. Many thanks in advance. CD

Has anyone any recommendations on where to get graphics for my bike? Cant wait to get it back on road! Need both sides of fairing plus screen unit though will buy full set if easier. Hi ive taken the engine from a late 600cc fzr and placed it into a go-kart. Ive wired pretty much eveything up and the engine will turn over via the starter motor when the ignition button is pushed but there is no spark????? The voltage at the coils is about twelve volts but it is constant and not in pulses like it should be to create the spark??? will this be something to do with the sensor placed in the magneto housing that pulses the volts to the coils or what???? Please help if you have a clue!!!! thanx.

I'm keen to expand my knowledge about the different variations of my bike (3HE FZR600) and indeed the Yamaha range, cos I love my bike to bits! I've been tryin to find bits for my bike and am intrigued by the differences. Don't wanna just ride the bike, wanna learn bit more about it, was wondering if anyone can recommend good sources of info ? Thanks, look forward to any responses. Vic.

Hi folks!! Just wondering if anyone has grafted a newer seat / tail unit onto a 3HE FZR? Seen pics of streetfighters with R6 conversions and think it looks quite good (tho can understand its not everyone's taste). Is it a lot of work, as i'm about to strip my bike down for some rework and tempted to give it a shot. Thanks - look forward to hearing responses.

hi there i have recently got a fzr1000 fighter but need some bits to finish since having the fairing removed the radiator doesnt look very good does anyone know what radiator would fit and that suit it better ? also anyone know where to get cheap top yokes to take custom bars etc ? all the ones i,ve seen have been 150 pound plus

Anbody know if the mounting points are in the same place on FZR1000 1988 for engine as they are for the thunderace because I`m under the impression its a newer version of the same engine in the thunderace, bearing in mind the 1988 FZR and the later FZR had slightly different frames.

Anyone know if the solenoid from from any other Yamaha will fit this bike.
