I have a 1998 YZ400f i just recently got a few months ago. It runs awsome and is an all around great bike! but... about ever couple of rides (a hour or two each) i foul a plug! (iv'e gone through 3 now) the plugs are all carbon fouled. when it runs it runs awsome, but you'l go to start it up the next day, and it wont even fire. i have already leaned up the neetle jet a notch and the pilot jet a bit too, and i'm waiting to see what happens. is this all i need to do, or do i need to make furthur adjustments? Thanks, Michael

  2. So I scan my local craigslist on occasion for a second DT to buy since I've been in and out of mine after a couple rebuilds and I figure I could whip one back into shape without all the head scratching/banging involved with my first one. This morning I spotted this: http://carbondale.craigslist.org/mcy/3509468340.html 2x 1978 DT 175s for $500. One runs, the other in parts. Here's my dilemma: I have $500 in my pocket right now, BUT I need to use it to pay down my university bill, otherwise I can't register, get my graduate degree, get a job, and make money. I could always just put the tuition on a credit card and use the cash for "just one more bike". An…

I've found it - the bike that makes me grin every time i see it. Much as I love newer bikes, i'm drooling over an RD350 LC - Kenny Roberts Replica. Its owned by friend of my dads, but only comes out once a year for MOT. Its the real thing, not a cheap copy, in immaculate condition, very very low miles, one owner from new. But, its not for sale at the min But thats a good thing cos gives me time to scrape every penny i can to hopefully be in a position where i can bring it home someday. Any of you RD experts know how much such a minter would make??

Just ordered a few bits from Fowlers. My first time there. The site said everything was in stock. Paid and got an email saying every single item was on backorder. Not impressed. I won't be using them again.

Ok would like to pick your brains please, as some of you know I have just got myself an FJ1200 which to say the least has been a bit neglected, every nut bolt and fixing is as rotten as a carrot and generally rusty and crusty, don't think it has been cleaned in the 20 years the PO has had it. What I need to ask is what type of paint should I use on the frame, I'm just about to take the engine out and refurb it and that leaves me with the chance to get the frame painted but not really sure which way to go with it, I repainted the XJ a few years ago but that was a bit time consuming actually about 6 weeks work and the thought of another 28 layers of paint makes me think it'…

  19. new first-aid device which could help save bikers’ lives is now available free in the north west of England... The air- and water-tight tube contains a card where riders can store vital information about medication, allergies and medical history, along with their personal details. This means paramedic crews at the scene have immediate access to a rider’s medical needs, and it’s information which could prove vital in those first few minutes after an accident. Based on the Crash Card concept created by the Ambulance Motorcycle Club, the Mediform Tube is available free in the North West to riders. The tube comes with a green self-adhesive key shaped sticker, which should b…
