Anyone out there got a 2007 fazer thou? Im thinking about somethin more comfy than the R6 but still fast, handles etc. I'm gonna show my age here, is there any storage space under the seat i.e. for more than a packet of fags? and have they sorted the fueling on this years bike? Taz motorcycles have new fazers otr for 6300, has anyone dealt with this company? Cheers all.

Thinking of buying a new Fazer 1000 at the weekend, CMC have them for £5500 which seems a bit of a bargain compared to what else is available at the moment. They are offering me £3000 for my GSXR 600 k1, which isn't too bad considering the below list on the Fazer. I am changing the style of bike due to recent recurring lower back, neck and wrist grief - too many years of riding and falling off sports bikes ( and mountain bikes). So who has any comments - good or bad on this as a choice of bike for mixed riding - fast weekend blasts, occassional 700 mile weekend jaunts to Scotland, bit of commuting and maybe a week or so to France. Reccomended upgrades and manufact…

Hi All, Is there any way of increasing the sound level or getting a more noticeable note out of a standard FAZER 1000 exhaust can (mine's an '05). Has anyone done it? The standard can seems to perform ok but is dangerously quiet startling every car driver you pass as they never seem know you've been behind them for the last mile or two. It seems a shame to have to replace the std can with an aftermarket item in the interests of rider safety, I'm not looking for more power, its got plenty and the bike's perfect as far as I'm concerned. I just want to advertise I'm there as I'm getting fed up with dopey drivers not looking in their mirrors. Best regards to all.

All i want to be able to see......is behind me!!! Has any one fitted different mirrors? or used extensions? or overcome this problem another way?? cheers Phil

Ladies and Gents firstly hello to everyone and thanks for having me!!!! Second hears by problem looking fro a first "proper bike" love the idea of a fazer... i was thinking of getting a fazer 600 but i've seen a nice 1000 offer.ed in better condition than the 600 i'd been looking at and ultimatly that what i'd like to own. Thinking save's loosing money to buying one to sell, to buy what i want insurance wise there is £12 in it so there is not much realavence in insurance costs. Do you guys think a fazer 1000 would be too much for a first ride??? alll input welcome even if its not what i want to hear!!! Thanks

Hi everyone, I wondering if anyone has any experience or advice about the suspension of Fazer 1000's... It is well reported/known that the OE shock on the Fazer is a little overwhelmed and somewhat 'boingy' and many people stiffen them up by various means. I have a 9 yr old model and at about 10,000 miles I replaced the rear shock with a Maxton one and replaced the fork internals. 4 yrs and 25,000mils later and it feels like I'm riding a space hopper especially in bends which makes me lack confidence and takes some of the fun out riding! So my questions are, as someone who knows very little about how to set up suspension.... is my Maxton shock (a…

hi there i have tried most places and had no luck so this is my last resort, i have a 99' fazer 400 and ever since the heavy frost i have been experiencing an intermitant lack of power which is accompanied by a noise (like someone is putting their hand over the airfilter intake) along with irratic speedo readings. When this happens the bike will only rev to about 2000rpm thus i cannot get out of first gear and can only do about 10mph with the bike backfiring as well. Also if i put an indicator on the power comes and goes with the flashing of the indicator.(So this suggests electrical rather than carburattion) I have had the bike for 3.5 years now and this is the only fau…

I have a 2001 fazer 600 with only 18,500 miles on the clock. I recently went to start the bike, but when I did, I found that the rev counter and Odo were not working (the words ODO, where in the top right of the LCD screen).I did however have the 2 trip meters and the digital clock. After speaking to a local bike repair shop, I was told that it would be cheaper to replace the clocks with 2nd hand onces, as having a diagnostic done on the old set was costly, and he had heard that the fazer 600 had an inherant problem with the electronics in the clocks. Does anyone know of this problem, or does anyone know why it happens and can it be fixed ? If you do then please contac…

I have a 1999 FZR 600 Fazer, I want to upgrade the exhaust can. I am living in Gibraltar at the moment and ride over in Spain, so UK legality is no issue. Any ideas? I want something a bit more noisy and mayby even a few more horses! I don't want to spend too much money.

After some advice please guys, Im up to 11k on the clock now and want to replace the spark plugs myself. Having consulted the haynes workshop manuelis it true that in order to replace the plugs i first have to take off the fairing then the tank and then remove the radiator?? It just seems very harsh to do all this to replace some wicks. Also, what do the members of this fantastic (grovel grovel) site advise on plugs, IE, which type etc etc. As always, good avice welcomed, thanks for reading.
