Hello all, ive got a dilemma, I want to get an exhaust for my wr125x. I don't know what one seems best? Full arrow system, or bigone? They're both around the same price, £250 on eBay. What would you guys recommend ? Thanks guys! hope I've posted this in the correct place!

A deal was done today, and the Beemer leaves the building next Wenesday! It's being part exed for a brand new bike. I can't knock the Beemer, it used no oil and never missed a beat. The only minor glitch was the brake problems, and a defective throttle linkage and horn which was replaced today. All FOC. It may have run forever, it may explode tomorrow. Who knows? And once the warranty expires in a few months I'd be footing the bill for potentially very expensive parts, and extortionate BMW labour charges. I'm not going to run that risk, and bearing in mind that I very often end up in totally remote places with no mobile reception....I need to trust it with my l…

Is anybody going. I'm planning to go with some friends - anybody else going/interested. It should make a fun little outing It's about 2000km , spend 3-4 days going there, festival for the weekend then down to the Croatian coast for a few days before coming home.

Some of you will remember my little XT350.....well it's gone now! Last month it went back to the UK for good....sold to a friend in South Wales. And this week, it's replacement arrived! It's a 98 TDM 850, genuine 8000 miles. Full service history.....in fact I don't think I've ever seen such a full service history in a book. The guy put it in for full main dealer services irrespective of the fact he wasn't using it.....so it's been serviced according to time rather than miles. Serviced at 679/3881/4847/5374/5975/8301.....so it's had 6 oilchanges in 8K miles! Rides very nicely indeed....perfect for further exploration of rural Spain! …

Hey guys, With my MX boots on i cant get my stoopid huge size 13 pasty in between the peg and shift lever properly. i have moved it round on the splines so it sits high enough for me to fit my foot under, but its way too high and the action is far from smooth as the lever is sitting way beyond where it is meant to be! Also having a lot of accidental changes as a result of this. I can change just fine with the lever in standard position if i am wearing trainers, but this really isnt a good idea when im off road eh! What im after is a Longer lever, so as it does not have to be so high, that way i should still be able to get my boot under it and change gear and even…

Just thinking about Cynic saying he had a low range on his new bike, so looked up what was out there to extend your range if your a bit too enthusiastic with the throttle! So I found this guy who, apart from the poxy music, seemed to have a couple of good ideas. If we do go for the "YOC does Italy" option this might work if we carried a couple just in case. Also it is illegal to carry a "soft" type of fuel bladder in the UK and Europe, or so I'm informed.

I have found this web-site http://cvieth.bplaced.net/motorrad_exupdummy.html in German (i speak fluent German) of a private Yamaha rider- boffin who makes servo dummies from home. Appears to be an electronics genius. I have already used his headlight rewire info to gain brighness both on low and high beam, simple, cheap and effective and am waiting for a date for the servo dummy because the chip boards he uses are out of stock at the moment. The servo dummy is going to cost aroung 25 Euro including postage. Anyone else interrested?

Put some new friction plates in the DTMX today and whilst doing it I discovered some backlash between the basket and drive gear. It could have been developing for ages for all I know. Thing is it's pecking my head now because I was going to the Blackpool triples club rally on it. I have a dog rough engine at work but it's not stripped and I wouldnt expect much judging from the overall condition of it, not sure I even have the time to strip and change it even if it is good. ...do I use it...fully loaded over belmont hill...decisions decisions. EDIT Come to think of it i'm pretty sure the rough spare engine is a later model and the clutch has a different part numbe…

well wednesday was my first day back at college and i had been on holiday all of christmas and new year so i decided i would ride in. so i got up at 7 and put it on charge and went back to bed as i didn't start till 10. got up later and it fired up so went to college. as i was going round a mini roundabout my front wheel skidded on a double man hole cover (the smooth ones) and left me. BOLLOX! i feel to the floor watching my bike sitting there stillticking over on the floor, fortunately as it fell to the left it kiked the gear lever back into neutral but bent it at the same time. bugger! so i eventually with some help picked it up jumped on and rode up the street to colle…

Hi chaps & chapesses, happy new year to you all. This photo is of my arai astro j lid. I recently took a tumble from my bike during which the lid took a glancing blow on the road. As you can see, just above the visor-hinge(?) there is a 1p coin-sized chip off the paintwork but NO other damage whatsoever. Should I be thinking about replacing it? The scrape seems too superficial to warrant the expense of a new lid. I thought that until next year, maybe, i could touch it up with some light filler silver touch-up paint or even filler and a sticker any suggestions gratefully received. I enquired at a bike shop but all thay wanted to do was flog me…
