The spares you need may be very difficult to find, its easy to say yeah, good on you and go for it, but you are looking to be able to ride that bike very soon, not have it in the garage as a labour of love, many of us could live with that situation as we have several modes of transport to choose from, but you dont. The only thing with the reeds is to check there are no big gaps between the petals and the cage, They should sit reasonably flat, its a visual check, You have not said if your plug is getting wet with fuel, if it is, dry the plug or better still replace it with a spare, i would even consider draining the tank and putting some fresh fuel in there. If you live near a hill, try a bump start, get some of your mates to give you sa shove If you have been trying for ages, you may have flooded the crank case, if you think this is possibleyou may need to leave the plug out overnight and slowly turn the engine over with the kickstarter from time to time, this will aid evaporation.

Hi tris, to the forum Have you got plenty of fuel? If in doubt, switch to reserve. is the plug getting wet with fuel? If it is remove it, hold it with pliers and dry it out using a blow torch or gas hob (dont burn yourself on it) Re fit it and try again, dont forget to use the starter choke and little or no throttle to start it.

we have lots of posts from people having difficulty with the gear changing on these bikes, try the above, its worthwhile to pull in and let out the clutch a few times, see if this works for you. I go from second to neutral all the time, on any bike

In the short term (no pun intended) you can unplug the wires from the switch, then get a couple of the necessary crimp connectors and crimp these on each end of a wire then plug this in instead of your stand switch, then try to get a new switch ordered and fitted because they didnt fit these devices for nothing and they shouldnt be left bypassed indefinitely.

Hmm your 1990 bike might have been made in 89 or earlier, whats the chance that someone changed both coils for the wrong ones, I would think it unlikely myself, maybe the engine number will tell the tale somehow, It does look like you have the older style but dont assume this isnt correct for your bike, possibly it just wasnt sold until 1990. As for the plug caps, good find there and replace the out of spec ones.
