  1. It could be a coil in the magneto or the pulser coil going open circuit when the engine gets hot. There will be tests to measure the resistance of these things so if you learn how to do that and then test when it cuts out you may find the faulty item.

Kelso has always been a fantastic show from which to start a mini break and spend a few days touring the open roads of Scotland. With arena entertainment during the day and live bands (for those camping) in the evenings including Needless, The Band from County Hell and headlining the brilliant AB/CD - you can be assured of a great weekend. The bmf Tailend Show 18 and 19 September With a new location for 2010, the bmf’s end of season show is going to be given a major facelift. Asda Greeter

A very loud, greasy, unattractive, tattooed, welfare dependent, chav, minger, woman wearing a Celtic top walked into ASDA in Castlemilk (a sprawling council estate on Glasgow 's east-side) with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance. The ASDA greeter said pleasantly, 'Good morning madam, and welcome to ASDA. Nice children you have there. Are they twins by any chance?' The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'F*ck naw, they're no twins. The auldest wan's 9, and the ither wan's 7. Why the f*ck would you think they're twins? Are you blind, thick or just stupid?' 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Madam.' replied the greeter. 'I just couldn't believe you've been shagged twice Have a good day, and thank you for shopping at ASDA.

    useful patch

Must try that in the post office of a lunchtime
  10. you can test the petcock sometimes just by sucking on the vac line that goes to the manifold and watching for fuel flow
  11. Andre, cant you unscrew the cap...cut off 20mm (3/4") of the lead and screw the cap back on? ...Paul
  12. Thats correct On the left hand side handlebar control There are 2 switches The RIGHT switch is Headlamp ON/OFF...Down = OFF (Assuming key position 2) The LEFT switch is HIGH/Low beam...Down = LOW Note...the pilot and tail lights work from key position 2 and are notthing to do with the left handlebar control.
  13. first find out whats in it, workshop manual? Yamaha dealer? I dunno whats in it. The hard way is to take a look. Then either get the next size from Yamaha dealer or from somewhere else but I dont know if its a mikuni, keihin, del orto so cant see where to buy other than Yamaha. Wont be expensive anyhow.
  14. i'm not really surprised the lights apper to flash, tell me...this isnt a flash proper is it? more like a dimming / brightening thing eh? By the way was the motor revving or switched off? as for the lights Ignition key has to be in position 2. This will bring on the pilot even with the lights switch on the left hand control switched to lights OFF With said switch ON the tail light and instrument lights will come on and if the engine is running the headlamp main or dipped will also come on. key position 3. Pilot and tail light on. Engine will not run, key can be removed. This is a parking light function.
  15. its not difficult to change the main jet, just buy one size bigger than standard, that should do. has the bike got one carb or two?

    Old joke

    not heard it before,
  17. There are other pipes available
  18. You have good compression and a spark so I would just do the carb clean. Get some carb cleaner on it or place it in an ultrasonic bath, take out the jets and check they are clean and the holes are clear. Blow it dry and blow through the passageways with compressed air. Dont get carb cleaner on any seals, O rings etc. TAKE CARE NOT TO LOSE ANYTHING.
  19. Ok Jordan, you have had issues with redex before havent you? is there any chance that there could still be some in the carb? I would strip it again as its a know problem you had before.
  20. Goff's not been around since April , in with a good chance with up yours, Mervin? its a hell of a long way from Devon so i doubt it, Cynic?...another long way but be good if he can make it. Blackhat have you got a big ish tent seen as youre in a van? for those with no tent?
  21. I wonder if there will be any of these at the 2 stroke gathering ?
  22. welcome Dan, sorry I dont know anything about rollers or how they work, however this would be the area that I would check out, have you seen the rollers, do they look right are they free?...sorry cant be more help. ...Paul
