For example if standard is a 170, then fit a 180...thats it. But you need to examine your carb and find out from your Haynes manual what size standad is for your bike...it may already have a bigger jet fitted for all you know
Yes thats it sam, just leave it removed from the speedo tucked out of the way somewhere...did you read the deristricting...topic?
Sits flush against the barrel? I take you mean flush with the top of the exhaust port. Dont worry about jetting yet...one thing at a time. just do the reed switch for now.
Try another plug, if you have had flooding remove the plug overnight (under cover) and allow the fuel to evaporate. Then try again but if it doesnt start dont go mad and flood it again
First thing to do sam is check that the powervalve is fully opening. Turn on the ignition ant the pv will do the 'swish swish' sound of its cleaning cycle and will then sit in the full open position with the 'U' notch in the pulley aligned with the hole in the head. At this point I think the key can be switched off again without affecting the position. Now remove the exhaust and check the pv is sitting fully open and the top of the exhaust port is a dead smooth passage. see my thread deristricting my DT125r for further info and pictures. There is also a speed limiter installed in the speedo, it will need pulling out and tucking away somewhere (also covered in that topic) The black/green wire thing is not for your bike but for the later elect start model DT125RE
Theres a sign place near where I work in Dukinfield, I bought decals from sunrise graphics and got them to apply them. The guy said he could have made them so I guess they can make you some from a plan...worth asking?
Possiby a bblocked fuel tank vent? If it happens again loosen the filler cap and listen if air is sucked in (might be hard to tell though as it will be so quick)
also with loosened filler...will it start quicker than it did last time?
I am however NOT suggesting you should ride with it undone, just trying to determine where the problem may be
I dont know the bike but I usually think NO because will you have the physical room for a bigger battery? forum member speedshop may give better advice though?
Oohh and i'm going to the ACRD club rally again, its at Derby Rugby club this time, maybe you can go there but youll have to check with merv...dont see why not because it is self financing
