  1. There should be no resistance through a non suppressed plug cap, yours must have a loose connection and is best replaced, also the ig primary is low as you say so youre doing right by replacing both IMO
  2. Aghh the sting in the tail I thought the beer was only a few shillings
  3. Sweet little DT you got there, waddya mean no need for insurance...surely not a field bike ending...Tsk Tsk
  4. I wouldnt , unless its for an early bike. My guess is it's for one of the later models and may not fit.
  5. So you really have got a bike, I was beginning to wonder Nice, fast too by the sound of it...is it a keeper now?
  6. mine is hard to read too due to being powdercoated several times by a firm that did not take care when gritblasing, you would have a job reading it now ! Whatever you do dont let it get any worse and either paint it or give very strict instructions to the powder coaters if thats your choice. Youll have a job getting the lock out, as far as I can remember the cover (and rivet) holds it in so without the cover it is free to come out. If you cut the head off a long 6mm bolt (or use screwed rod)so it just goes into the headstock and on the screw you have one of those extra long nuts that join screwed rod lengths together, then unscrew the nut unside the headstock so the end of the screw pushes the steering lock out...tada
  7. Wow great picture stormbringer...trackday??
  8. Greetings Ohiohunter, and a post in the 'Noobs' forum? Dont ya just love these old DT's Nahh battery and rectifier not needed to run the engine.
  9. Most I had was 80 downhill but to be honest I dont like to thrash it so stick to 70. Its a genuine 125 not a bored out one. Really they are a aerodynamic nightmare with the big scoops and upright riding position but they accellerate well for a 125 (well they do compared to my DTMX)
  10. Pastures new, the YBF (Yorkshire Bandit Bike Forum)
  11. Blimey, give it chance, just a little less wrist action? Anyhow WHERES THE PICS?

  13. Did you buy it from a dealer. if you did and you can demonstrate the headlamp fault why not go for fairing replacement FOC ?

  17. Two Irish hunters got a pilot to fly them to Canada to hunt moose. They managed to bag six. As they were loading the plane to return, the pilot said the plane could take only four moose. The two lads objected strongly. 'Last year we shot six. The pilot let us take them all and he had the same plane as yours.' Reluctantly, the pilot gave in and all six were loaded. However, even on full power, the little plane couldn't handle the load and went down. Somehow, surrounded by the moose bodies, Paddy and Mick survived the crash. After climbing out of the wreckage, Paddy asked Mick, 'Any idea where we are?' Mick replied, 'I’m not sure but I think we're pretty close to where we crashed last year.'
