Ouch! Jason I think he might have meant 'turn it over' as in rotate the crank in the oil Still its a non starter unless he has a huuuge budget, and lots of time.
-
use the search function, there is a 'sticky' from when I did my DTR. The RE would be similar but you have to ground a wire from the CDI (green/black but check first)
-
+1 Canny lad only has 2 pins as he said in his opening post so its just a bog standard diode.

Greetings Brian Lovely bike, and California too...you got it made mate -
great news mate. Cant help with the fuse question, why not buy a used manual from ebay, I couldnt own a bike without having a manual for it.
-
Greetings kenny

Nothing more powerful than a hairdryer mind...dont use a hot air gun Once you have a corner peeled up...play the heat near to the corner while gently pulling up the sticker.
-
Take a chill pill and check if its sparking, take it from there
-
I would go for the RE as it does look better. However I bought a 2003 DTR last year and it was most definitely money well spent, superb little bikes. Good choice and guaranteed to increase in value IMO Simon

Another £55 on parts Might as well forget it right now
-
Ohh my bent forks too? Theres one on ebay for spares...in yorkshire
-
Greetings Alex , parts are quite rare and expensive now, look out for a good exhaust if yours is rough....a picture?
-
Drewpy has one too, just the job for rally's and the like

She's coming along nicely now, put the standard exhaust on last weekend for the first time since I removed the pipe in the header. My SM tailpipe?...well that needed re packing so instead of my usual re-pack using baffle wool (fiberglass) and packing it real tight like I have done for the last few generations I decided to try some filter sheet from work, looks a bit like the baffle sheet that is sold for purpose. Well I was shocked it felt a hell of a lot more torquey on the ride home but noisy, yep too noisy really so today I fitted a bog standard steel one, what a lovely sound, it's been so long I forgot what they sounded like...much more neighbour friendly and performing way better than the Gianelli / SM combo that was on last week, more than likely due to the silencer packing method I had used.

Yes it's at the bottom of the battery compartment, near the drive chain

Take the way you got no reading...was the red lead on the male connector?
-
I dont think you are supposed to split the caliper in that way, I think it should have been left sealed and you have damaged the seal.
-
Switch it to 2k Ohms and plug the leads black in com and red in the ohms socket. Now test the two connectors on the rectifier, you will see a reading one way only...verify this
-
I reckon the red goes to the male connector of the rectifier. Have you got a multimeter?
-
Are your wires red and white? isnt there male and female connectors on it that would prohibit getting it wrong? your wires, they have male and female connectors ...yes?
-
is there a diagram on it, like a triangle with a line across one of the points?
