  1. Peter, not familiar with the bike but are they entirely rubber and fixxed at both ends by circular clips, or are they bonded to a metal plate where they meet the cyl head and thus bolted there ?
  2. Greetings Adam and to the YOC forum
  3. ok then my last shot is suirt around 3cc of petrol directly into the spark plug hole snd try with that, the reed is an issue though, there will be a bend tolerance, off now
  4. sorry dont understand that, pour out of what?
  5. andrew i'm on my lunchbreak, cant wait long for replies!
  6. so it will either need priming by whatever means was given by yamaha or you will need to take off the vac line from the manifold and suck on it to open the fuel supply and fill the carb
  7. how do you know that fuel is in the carb, it isnt supposed to get there without the engine running (ON A VAC SYSTEM) and you had the carb apart so it's empty of fuel isnt it?
  8. i dont get that, is there a prime facility on the tap?
  9. ahh there may be a problem there if you've had the carb off! am i right in thinking the fuel supply is vac operated?
  10. Andrew, first things first i must say that i'm not familiar with the scoot..,.but is there plenty of fuel in the tank i assume the fuel supply is vacuum operated?...if so check the vac line from the inlet manifold to the fuel supply tap, see it hasnt come adrift, split, kinked etc etc
  11. hmmm, can the shocker bushes be swapped for the old ones ? or? http://www.superflex.co.uk/products.php?cat=393&pg=3 did you get the swing arm bushes fitted in the end?
  12. an intro in 'new members' is always welcome dave is your autolube out of commision? did you premix at 20/1 as per title...why?
  13. greetings 'Grandad'...never too late is it The bike looks superb, no wonder you're set up with it
  14. chains dont actually stretch, the pivots wear and thats how they become longer, the amount of pivots wear can be greatly reduced with regular lubrication. Look after your new chain better than the old one and it will last longer
  15. possibly blocked pilot jets, a common culprit...can you see daylight through them...with a magnifling glass? oh and theres a tiny orifice at the bottom of the choke passageway...in the bottom of the bowl ...the carb with the choke knob?....just a guess as mervin said there is loads of experience and expertise in the aircooledrdclub
  16. what do you mean they arent coming jordan? have you rounded them off internally, or are they turning but not coming out?
  17. aye and y'all seem to have a pet cock
  18. @ DirtyDT, easy going temps around 160/180C, hard work temps I have seen up to 220C...all this means nothing to me but i'm learning mate @Drewpy, Had it quite a while now, around £30 ish, you have to buy one suitable for your particular size plug
  19. yep our miles are the same as yours flyday, it was however a DT125R, more powerful than the old MX and all the aerodynamics of a barn door with those big rad scoops up front
  20. Greetings BristolWhite mmm an X7...nice
  21. is the cable still attached to the slide jarrod? if so perhaps you can grip it in a vise and pull / tap against it? cant help much with getting parts in usa...ebay or bikebandit?
  22. I fitted one of these to my DT, might come in handy for help with jetting, it has a thermocouple attached to a copper ring to go between the spark plug and cyl head. It's very responsive and cheap to buy http://trailtech.net...emperature.html [media=]
  23. Airhead replied to sniff6's topic in Yamabyss
do they do one called Glans...or would that be too cheesy
  24. yes of course having had a quick google, get the longest bolt possible and slide hammer it free http://www.google.co...29,r:1,s:0,i:71 comes with a word of caution, when using this method, take precautions to not let the armature hit the deck when it comes free although the yamahaenduro website isnt available...google showed this much "I had to make an armature puller. The threads ... So I turned it into a slide hammer. ... 173- 81153-10-00 is supposed to be for the AT1/AT2, CS5 and the CS3." I think the guy was saying that using the bolt was massing the threads up, so he used it as a slide hammer
