take note that sometimes the plain plates have to be fitted in a particular order, they have 'pips' on the outer edge that need equal spacing around the clutch circumference

yeah they'll be stuck together noise
  3. Everyones welcome...you know that, we had a pan euro with us

yes that looks like it, perhaps the over reaching has damaged the plain end of screw 28

I still think you'll have to remove the pressure plate to make any progress with this, it's no use forcing anything...especially when trying to fight against a push rod being held against spring tension...but like I said before I'm not familiar and dont have any manual to reference to

I'm not familiar with Betty's anatomy noise but perhaps because you didnt take up the slack the operating arm has over-reached and this caused the displacement, it will be held tight anyway now so you'll have to slacken the clutch springs to release the pressure on the operating arm. There may even be issues with how it came about that the operating arm travelled upwards? is there a locating screw that's supposed to keep it in place?

  11. yeah it was the same weekend mate what a scorcher, thats why I didnt go to the ACRD rally that time...missed it the year before too because the weather was atrocious
  12. lol the trip back from seaways, lost again on a dual carriageway with an overheating DT , happy days Aircooled rally if i go, camping just like squires Fri /Sun Fizzy rally, that was ace, went with blackhat and we had some fantastic weather and rode out to the seaside at Bridlington...I'd love to do that again if I can ?
  13. I like squires, OK the food could be better but Its all there with free camping too but TBH for me it's the 2 stroke rideout that is the attraction that particular weekend. The guys on the 2 stroke forum havent cast any doubts (yet) on the 1st weekend Sept. BTW I might well go to the aircooled RD rally this year...fancy it? One for Blackhat...John, have you heard anything about the fizzy rally this year? Maybe we should have a plan B is squires ends up off I dont know, MFN or something?
  14. one of the screw (the big one) is not to be set 1 1/2 turns out at all, that one is the throttle stop screw, you screw it in clockwise until you have a sensible idle rpm speed
  15. so with choke ON it's OK and choke OFF it dies with throttle...is that right? if so, this is quite normal with a cold engine, is your engine cold?
  16. is this with choke or without choke?

  20. all seals have to be good ones or you'll have an air leak
  21. the slide is inside of the carb, it's what lets air into the engine
  22. sounds like either you have an air leak somewhere or The throttle slide isnt closing properly
  23. And It's fixed
  24. Alex knows about it

Might be the crank seal on the clutch side thats gone though, can you smell gasoline at the engine oil filler?
