yep try taking out the spill valve see if it cures it, incidentally...is there a right way up for these valves? just wondering

I dont think that's a DT125LC mk1 carb, the id says it's a 3BN00 carb .... That's a DT125R carb, early DTLC didnt have those heater piping spigots The correct id for a DT125LC mk1 is 10V00

They are for a DT125R whatever year it was made, dunno about using them though, I assume you'd have to remove the old ones somehow...dunno about that I've never done it Best to ask the seller I'd say

as a temporary fix maybe unplug the kill switch and just use the keyswitch?

sounds like someone wired the kill switch in parallel to the ignition somehow!
