yeah it should increase, try it with the spring removed if it's ok then perhaps the spring is fully compressed when you wind the screw in? Happy Hogmanay

a bit of thin oil wont do any harm but it's not really essential jimbo

hope you didnt fit a piston for an earlier DT175, I believe they have a different deck height
