  1. Classic signs that you need new friction plates in your clutch, this is always shown up in top gear when the engine is working hard. I assume there is a little play in the cable is there? Oil...Its not over full is it? Sprockets and chain tension...All good? If it is a clutch strip you may as well replace the springs too.
  2. No,,its crap, always has been. Half the problem it doesnt accept a 3 character search, so will work for YBR125, but not YBR 125 Oh and its not 'my' search
  3. Sorry...did i imply you were?

    Yep...should have listened
  5. I always suspect crank seal in this type of post, you say you checked it though. did you try spraying it with WD40 or similar when the bike was running...to see if it affected the engine speed / tone ?

what about the thing from the registration document that the buyer fills in V5C part 6. I suppose you sent that off without keeping any details? Did you sell it on ebay? did the buyer ask any questions? If so use the reply function to ask about it If you sold on ebay but had no communication with the buyer, go to the community function, enter the buyers ebay name and then go to their profile, here you will find a 'Contact member' option to ask your question. 11. This has been posted time and again about this model. All I can say is do a search and read about previous posts. I would recommend an oil change and use the correct spec oil, not something too high a viscocity, also check the level is not too high. And be firm with the foot change. Also keep a check that the lever does not come loose on the splines because next thing is they will be rounded off and then off the road.
  12. 10 miles since a re-build eh, couold it be airlocked, iI dont know if this can happen but if so will render the cooling useless and have the net result you say. Vez i'm not doubting what you say about the elevated boiling point, with a 50/50 water antifreeze mix the BP would be something like 135C, this will be further increased when you take into account pressurisation. In hindsight it may have been unwise to say what I did, since this was not a 'can i use it in emergency ?' case. BUT, knowing how COOL my bike runs .........

The oil light is there just to let you know the LEVEL is getting low in the tank. it has nothing to do with pressure. 1: It will be on if you are riding and the level becomes low, if it does dont panic but top up with 2 stroke oil at the first opportunity, stick to the same brand. 2: It will also be on when the ignition is on and the bike is in neutral, even with lots of oil in the tank. This is a bulb check facility and you should check that this is so when you ride the bike. ...Paul
  14. +1 with all of that, another head gasket blowing and tap water will not cause any problem at all, the only downside to tap water is 1, it will freeze in winter and wreck your radiator 2, it does not contain corrosion inhibitors Thats all as a short term measure it would be fine...in summer And when I say short term I do not mean all summer long, just until the shops open.
  15. Welcome Carlos, your English is good As 'Cynic' says it is a 78 DT175E Paint colour is Sunshine Red, Paint code number 0066 Here in UK we can buy fuel tank decals here Sunrise graphics I do not know if they are the same as the UK ones though, you could email a photograph to them. Myself and 'Cynic' also have this bike...in the UK it is known as DT175MX ...Paul

So answer this, is there any attempt at all, even just a click? If the answer is no then it sounds like an interlock is in play. i dont know about the interlock on a baby drag but they usually go something like Ignition switch on Run switch on Neutral light on Clutch lever pulled Side stand up for example ...having said that i expect i'm telling you how to suck eggs if you have owned the bike 9 yrs

  23. Nice one James, The jet was that brass thing in the middle of the carb, it will have a number on it. I see your cylinder head is one of those weird ones with the convoluted squish band, mine has that one on too. has 3BN on the head iirc.
