DT 175 MX Electrics Again!
With the benefit of the wiring diagram now...disconnect the two pin plug socket from the flasher relay. Link the Brown/White back onto the relay. Jumper from battery Positive to the other pin where the Brown would have gone, Now try again, this takes the indicators away from the keyswitch, if it is any better you need to clean the contacts of the keyswitch or replace it.

Respraying petrol resistant lacqure?
It's best to use petrol resistant laquer on a petrol tank, the other stuff disolves

DT 175 MX Electrics Again!
I would try to jumper a live wire from battery positive directly to the flasher relay signal. Cant put any detail on that until later. If it fixes it the problrm may be a dirty / corroded contact in the flasher handlebar switch. However, more likely the main keyswitch I think as this switches the battery 6V to auxilliary equipment and switches. I suppose a jumper between the red and brown may prove or dis-prove this, but again I am guessing, will check later.

Respraying petrol resistant lacqure?
I imagine "Halfords petrol resistant laquer" does indeed come in aerosols.

Piston rings
Have you got a see through oil pipe to the manifold? I agree with your scepticism with regard the pump, you need to have confidence in it. Yes by all means pre-mix untill you are happy with the pump, I would think a 40/1 mix would be ok. bleed the pump by taking out the bleed screw (or rubber cap) wait until no air bubbles come out and only oil does. After that is done start the engine and allow to idle, now turn the pulley on the pump by hand until maximum, you will see the oil pumping through the see through pipe, about 6/7mm with each pulse, I think that air bubble will soon disappear If you see this you can be happy with your pump and just monitor the oil level drops in the tank...then you can add just fuel to the fuel tank next time.

dt125 exhaust
What is the current exhaust...standard Yamaha issue? Nothing wrong with them other than they are heavy. Like any exhaust on a trail bike though they are high maintenance and will need cleaning and painting often or they soon look sh1t

sounds good to me Kev, anything between 40/1 and 50/1
-
What Ya Think ?
It's a 15.9 Litre tank, so 15.9/0.35 = 45 to 1

Piston rings
It's an expander ring, it fits under the second (bottom) ring. you will see the bottom ring is narrower than the top one, that's because this expander goes behind it.

What Ya Think ?
let's make an assumption here, that is a fuel / oil ratio of 50 / 1 Your tank holds 10 litres Therefore at 50/1 it will be 5 tanks of fuel even with an oily mix of say 40/1 it will be 4 tanks of fuel Check again Pat

What Ya Think ?
I never had a problem with it youre only talking about the last drop in the tank anyway arent you?

SR 250 NEW Fork Oil Seal fitting
Its never happened to me so I have no experience of it, I think I read somewhere about jamming some sort of a piece of wood down there but can't remember what it was or how it worked. I was thinking though...can you fill the leg with water and freeze it in a chest freezer( spring removed and open at the top)..do you think that might get a grip of the damper tube? Just a guess
