  5. Yup its been a cracking day here too mate. Will it last lon enough for me to sort the bandit out I wonder
  6. Neither would I, you misunderstand me. pull the two ends of the belt down betwwn the jaws, the tube rests on top with the wound belt, then tighten, gives a much bigger friction area than one pass It is important to wind the belt the correct way for undoing the nut as I said before.
  7. more than one turn of the belt

  9. oi loiks thaart oidear EDTT: For maximum grip the belt needs to be wound in a clockwise direction when viewed from the opposite end to the tube cap in question (for unscrewing)
  10. dont 'get one' just go somewhere who has one. I'm sure they wont mind you using it. stilsons may or may not work...still a 2 point grip and even narrower than a vise. The rattle gun is a good suggestion too...thay can be pneumatic or electric. Just dont want to see you damage it mate although it's not like I have experience of this or even that i've heard of them damaged in such a way
  11. Oops just seen this, I would have drilled the new bars myself...not all that much of an inconvenience really methinks
  12. I would be wary of gripping the tube in a vise (2 point grip) might be better in a pipe vise or a lathe chuck and wrapped in rubber or something? Local pipe fitters or engineers?
  13. you say you checked the wiring...did you check the source coils resistances and HT coil resistances? You have done right to brighten up the connectors, I agree that the CDI is working so thats OK. You are now mentioning a blue spark but initially a yellow one. Naturally you have tried again and it still wont start? is there nothing...not even the odd pop? Try a new spark plug and if you can muster some help a push start might be good.
  14. Ive got a liking for little 2 strokes jon and have 2 DT's Oh and a Bandit
