  3. so not the two plastic bushes the arm pivots on then ?
  4. Copied from the Gold Wing Forum (who marshall it) The annual Salvation Army Toy Run will take place again on the 19th November commencing from the Showcase Cinema Hyde Road (M12 5AL) and terminating at the Trafford Centre. There will be a breakfast from 9:00 am with assembly at 11:00 am and leave at 11:05 am. A presentation of toys and a short carol service will take place at the Trafford Centre on arrival. All the toys donated are used to help brighten up the Christmas of needy children across the North West. Donations are used to buy new gifts for childern who might otherwise not receive a toy this year. For full details have a chat with our very own Jim Cretney who has been involved with providing marshals for this event for some time. Tel 01613 361 318 or Mob 07845 872 415 Anyone local fancy it there will be a few of us lot there as usual and it would be great to meet others
  5. all depends on the airbox acces from the right was 130 standard access from the left was 160 standard The two carbs had other spec differences along with the main jet to cater for these different airboxes
  6. Could be a bit dangerous that!
  7. they wont matter a jot, dont bother doing anything else. Ues loctite on the mounting screws and dont go mad when tightening these screws because the reeds may lift away from seated if you do
  8. yeah its always good to meet up, shame john couldnt make it. This year i didnt take any photos. Glad we went yesterday its drizzle here now!
  9. show us some pics of the bike and exhausts its a 2 stroke and you have swapped the expansion pipes...is this right?
  10. Greetings yannik, leave this one for intros and ask elsewhere as you have already, or you will have two sets of answers to the same questions...not good.
  11. yambits will get you them...is it a twin shock bike then?
  12. yeah looks good Harry, what have you done to it have you sprayed it? is the frame number clearly visible and will be so after the top coat? it would be best if it is.
  13. Greetings SSB wow two v50's in just days
  14. better than new v she's shaping up to be a really nice example you just fit washers over the pop rivet ends when you're riveting through soft materials
  15. Cheers Alex
  16. Hi chatz this forum is for intros and you didnt...really! there are other forums for problems
  17. must be just the airbox and square arm thing then eh?
  18. not you as well mike
  19. Frankly...no it it isnt, the guys not even asking for help to fix something, intros can be short or long, preferably not too short. Many intros go unanswered my members here...even members who have criticised noobs for not posting intros. I can see what your beef is with noob andy but not with this chap
  20. poor intro? why mike? The bike is a v50 as kayos said Greetings kayos not seen much on v50's lately, last one was an aussie chap but he dwindled away!
  21. yeah I would hazard a guess it probably comes down to points ignition or CDI as to which carb was fitted.
  22. you can buy lead from good motor factors shops, the difficulty is removing the old lead from the coil as many jap coils have them glued in position! iirc drewpy changed one once
  23. I gave them seat spike things a go, I know staples are the usual way though, the spikes are really made for the metal pan seats
  24. Some used 24mm carb Tony, but it still might be an idea to source a carb, there were two versions so depending on the bike airbox arrangement the appropriate one could be sourced, it all comes down to the swing arm...square or round profile
