  7. what a terriffic Intro Andy, Greetings and welcome sir, I had an nsu quicky wreck when I was a kid too, never rode it but had the engine clamped in a vise in the shed, just used to start it up right there and lift the carb slide with a screwdriver to fiill the outbuilding with sound and smoke.. well it kept me amused for a while Those things held the moped speed record for many years, I remember being somewhat impressed by the chrome bore
  8. ok kev, we'll stop at seaways and wait for you

  12. by all means use yambits but why not ring them and speak to Dave (mr Yambits) talk to him about all the issues you are having with this
  13. thats not good! The castle nut should be pretty much filled with the stem thread The old seal fits around the shoulder doesnt it, thats why you gan a bit extra there. are both the new seals the same with the same sized holes through them? of course if you rough it together with no seals you should have lots of stem thread available...if not then the bearings are no good! ?
  14. Thats what i've been using But theres lots of other good stuff out there too
  15. Looking great mate, MOT?
  16. DT100A or DT100B http://www.bikepics.com/yamaha/dt100/73/pics.asp
  17. I would premix 40-1, oil has got much better over the years...quality oil that is!
  18. why the old seal, why not the new one correctly fited?
  19. hmm you havent read what I posted?...two seals?...one upside down?
  20. see this Sam http://www.triumphra...rk-springs.htm and taken from the above link, you can definitely see the seal hollow side uppermost...and the bearing being driven down onto it
  21. Looking again at the photo I cant make ou whether you have fitted TWO seals below the roller cage?, surely there should be only one at the bottom and one at the top bearing, bottom bearing seal flat side down and top seat flat side up...does that make any sense? I can definitely see a seal flat side up in the photo...wrong!...and it looks to be on top of another?
  22. Cant see it right that the bearing sits on the seal! thats why your yoke stem isnt going high enough into the top yoke, theres something wrong with the way you are assembling it and Yamaha never fitted these in the first place so dont hold your breath there!, seiously if you cant resolve this you may have to consider leaving out the seal...at least for now?
