does the bike have a carburettor?
if so, is there a drain screw at the bottom of the bowl?
maybe theres some water in the bowl, try draining it out a little
It will make no difference Paul.
What is important though is that you tighten the flywheel retaining nut to the specified torque, this meams getting a good hold on the flywheel...you wont do it by hand! I use a chain type filter wrench and a fabric backed rubber strip cut from industrial work gloves.
Hi Paul
It looks to me like your timing is not adjustable because all you have is two countersunk holes for the screw...NOT screws and a slotted hole.
If it isnt adjustable then it must be timed right...right?
Sorry we missed you Alex, maybe next time eh?
It was great to meet up with drewpy, Tommy and blackhat again
Heres another notable bike, suzuki AP50 I think, yours for £495
not worth the bother in my opinion 4k is still low mileage, from what I've seen the digital speedo on these bikes is unreliable and I would imagine it was changed because the original one broke down not changed to pull the wool over anyones eyes (especially at only 2k). I do agree though that this should have been pointed out to you if they knew about it, just saying...if it were me I probably wouldnt get too heavy but I might go see them and let them know I'm non too happy!
are you putting the float in the right way up?
It does matter, they are designed so that they dont drop down so far as to allow the valve to get dispiaced and jam up
