The design is crappy. How about parking? Do you have to carry the stand everywhere you go? What about stability and suspension? An electric bicycle or scooter would be a better alternative. About the McLean's hoola hoop, there's an update:

Check the rearlight fuse.

Unscrew the two bolts holding the bracket on. It's then easier if you unscrew the headlight as well for putting all the wires back in later. Unplug all the cables, remembering roughly where they go (obvious). Underneath the tachometer should be a couple of wires going into what can only be described as a rubber bung. Pull it out and there should be a bulb in there. Get a LED to replace it, last a lot longer.
