The irony of it
I just mutter under my breath, obviously not loud enough so anyone could hear - wouldn't want to offend. English to the core.

The irony of it
No indication. It was lights on and straight into a U turn from being parked at the kerb. Nevermind, I'm sure somebody somewhere had a far worse outcome on their ride home yesterday.

The irony of it
Narrowly avoided being taken out by a Audi TT doing an unannounced U turn from the kerb on my way home tonight. I was gratified to see he had a 'Think Bike' sticker on the car. Plonk

35 year old newbie
I started riding at 53, most rewarding thing I've ever done (apart from wife kids etc obviously)

Is this big Kev,,, near twatsville
I'm surprised this got a mention. We are talking Blackburn here, and in my defence and I should point out that i spent a year living in Darwen (for those that haven't had the pleasure this is Blackburns less sophisticated near neighbour)

No Doubt about it
If God is Scottish he's got a hell of a sense of humour, what with the midges and the rain.............................

Xanadu
Knebworth '79 with Zep in all their glory, missed the coach back home, slept on the grass outside Stevenage Labour Exchange (Job Centre Plus for you young'uns ) in what turned out to be a bloody cold night. Naturally none of us had taken jackets. When we finally dragged ourselves to the train station the next morning the town centre was awash with discarded gallon containers of cider, and a fair number of those who had partaken thereof. Happy days

squires run 2015
Reminds me very much of the early days of digital image stabilisation when the degree of movement exceed the pixel image buffer capacity

My favourite band. I first picked up Fly By Night in Sounds, Mealhouse Lane ,Bolton in 1975 because the cover looked interesting. Ridiculous levels of musical proficiency. Have seen them at every opportunity I've had since

You are referring to your bike right ?

My brand new baby grandaughter
Without doubt the greatest help my parents gave to us was giving my wife (mostly) and I (not nearly so much) a break from looking after the kids when they were very small. Now they've grown and are decamping for the mythical land of Dahhhhhn Sarf I fear that we won't be able to help them in any practical way.

My brand new baby grandaughter
Congratulations all round. She's gorgeous. Have you volunteered for babysitting duties yet ?

OH bugger !
BSAU 159f is the requisite standard. V rated tyres are allowed a repair no bigger than 3mm, which must be within 25% of the centre line of the tyre. All repairs to be accomplished with a mushroom plug, inserted from the inside and vulcanised into place. Anything else is a temporary fix. I feel your pain, I've picked up three bolts through various car tyres in the last 12 months.

Thought I'd said goodbye to my Dog yesterday
If you don't mind hair (or slobber) then Newfoundlands are the way to go. We somehow ended up with three !!

Heavy Duty bike cover
What Bippo said. I've used the Oxford Stormex for about a year, as well as the colour fading the sun has taken it's toll on the taping covering the seams. Given that you're in Scotland I guess the sun won't be an issue...... One thing to watch out for is that if the Stormex touches wet ground the soft inner surface wicks up water like a sponge.

New to it all!
Hi welcome and well done on the DAS. Just take it steady and you'll be fine.

Bought another bike
When it comes to my transgressions she's got eyes like a shithouse rat. I wonder if the "I'm just looking after it for a mate" defence might work better.

Bought another bike
I figured I should give the V twin thing a go. So I've just bought a Virago 535, collecting Wednesday. Just pondering whether to tell my wife or just add it to the 3 others outside the house and hope she doesn't notice. Pictures will follow.....

To Triumph or not?
The girl or the bike - what's it to be. I think we should be told.

Chain and Sprocket YBR Custom
Hi, it's customary, and considered good manners to go to the New Members section and post an introduction about yourself before asking for help. But no, there isn't any difference between the model years. Now go and restore my faith in humanity by giving us that introduction rather than being one of those deplorable people who post the one question and then vanish into the ether, never to be heard of again.....................

Amazing vintage bike
Gutted for you mate. Glad the damage didn't extend to yourself though.
