I can now confirm that the led idiot light will not illuminate on the flasher cct. So 3w incandescent bulb for that one!

In the 80s took my new bike for a spin when my parents were at work. No provisional borrowed my mates helmet. Came off it due to inexperience. Destroyed my mates helmet a front rim buckled and tyre marks across my school shirt where it landed on top of me. I cringe now what could have happened. Regards Simon

Bought an eBay batt. Optimiser fitted but the volts are 5.2 under load. I dont think the batts that good. Loom is new charging is good. Need more amps. Neutral light is like something out of bethlehem!

Trying to find every last available mA on this system replaced the neutral bulb which has turned silver again with an RS 209-428 as a test before doing the others. Will have to see what the indicator flasher unit will think of it in due course.

Well finally pulled the dt out of the garage to have a look and the clip is missing. So ordered one from fowlers £1.86 plus carriage and vat and hopefully it arrives tomorrow. Ended up with helmet and gear on and went for quick ride. Felt like a new person when I arrived back! Thanks Johnny
  9. Been on grampian motors Liverpool who sell mitaka pistons. If your going too far oversized for they recommend a yzr piston. Looks same dome height etc.
  10. I burnt the lips off my brand new gearbox seal in under a week. It was pumping oil everywhere because I forgot to lube it. My bad
  11. Did you fill the seals with grease/oil between the lips?

You wouldn't want to ride it. Bubble wrap heated garage etc.

Some googling you wouldn't want to ride 70 miles on it. Hmm Maybe thats why it destroyed itself!

Tenant has moved out of my mums rented house and left this in the garage. Motor out head off. What would be a good offer to ask to buy it?

Just got up to sun and blue sky.
  21. Unsure yet. Read a post somewhere that if screws/bolts are used they can be higher than rivets so the guy ground the heads lower after tapping threads into basket.
  22. When ive gor time I will drill out the rivets and order the Rd 200 rubbers. Then refit my old basket.
  23. I have the same problem on my 175mx after rebuild. Replaced clutch basket, fitted EBC heavy duty friction plates ball bearing is there, steel plates evenly spaced and lever is set to pip on crankcase. Makes a grrr noise unless clutch lever pulled in slightly and pulling off can end up with front wheel in air from judder. Did you replace clutch bearing on yours? Regards Simon
