2010 xj6n exhaust 5eb or 5sl
Hello, I'm not 100% sure of why but you need the 5sl as I looked into doing this to my xj6 & gave up on the idea as you have to either bend the headers to fit under the sump without it catching or dent it which is not a good move in my opinion. I do have a scorpion can for sale but it's not a whole lot louder tbh, looks nice though & is only the end can with link pipe.

Xj6n exhaust change
Hey everyone I'm hoping this is in the correct section & i'm hoping it's aneasy one. Been doing some digging to swapping my exhaust from the one I have now to something abit more throaty, which I was thinking decat the bike & happy days but this is a tough one as can't find the parts. After a couple of hours of looking I have found that 03-05 r6 headers with some form of link pipe & a slip on can will do the trick once I have bent a pipe so the header doesnt catch the sump. Where could I get a link pipe & how would I be able to mount a slip on to a link pipe & is there such a thing that exists? How will the lamda sensor plug in? Please tell me if I have missed anything & any advice would be great, think I have done to much digging & confused myself haha. Shaun

Xj6n help/advice
Hey guys thanks for looking, I'm hoping someone can help me or tell me that I am being paranoid and to man up any would be good :L Right, my engine seems really loud (I'm sure there will be jokes) but I mean rattles.. But the oil is okay, it also sounds quite loud from where the cat is which sounds like the engine rattle so I'm guessing sound travel from the cat. (Oil level is also ok) The bike recently had its M.O.T. And passed fine with no issues, same with the exhaust emissions. Does anyone else have any ideas? The bike also gets hot very quick to, especially if sat idling, coolant is all topped up & everything works fine. But it's hitting 100 then the fan will kick in as normal, not noticed before that it got hot quick. Sorry if this is a little confusing and vague thanks for any help or any comments of man up Shaun

I can go providing it is after her birthday which is the 30th so in theory I can go on the monday the 1st/2nd whichever it is for a week and catch the racing!! if that is something I can actually do with respect of ferrys/camping yeah classic in august, I did say would take the mrs but she says wouldn't want to camp and doesn't fancy being at a track for a week... i'm trying to get her to come btcc this weekend but this isn't looking hopeful either.. still be a better atmosphere at the tt than on the tv

I have done this and it's not nice, also something a little worse... After talking to a girl I knew in the barbers, went got back on my bike (drz400) forgetting I had put the steering lock on (different position on bike), got on the bike as normal, lid on, gloves on..ignition on..right off I go...in abit of a circle to then drop the bike in the slowest ever off going...to only be seen by everyone in the barbers & the female in question...safe to say was abit gutted haha

Calling XJ6 owners :))
fair enough then Joe, atleast you gave it a good go! if you find some pegs that look a decent quality then let me know I have been looking for ages, get some pics up, upload them to photobucket then use the IMG code copy and paste onto this forum, works spot on Shaun

Ahh not that close to offer a hand then, yeah the lugs just put them ish where you want them. once your grips will be on, then put some electrical tape around the bar Push the controls nice and tight onto the tape so that the lug will leave an indentation on the tape Start drilling with a smaller drill bit think biggest size used was 6mm or 7mm (don't quote me) then work your way up with bigger so 3mm..4mm so on so forth, saves drilling one spot for ages trying to get a big hole from nothing lol (that's what I did anyways) Good luck!!!!!!

No problem, I'm about all weekend, where abouts are you from? I thought it would be a nightmare when I first started but pleased with the outcome of doing it make sure you have some electrical tape ready to drill the holes into the bars for the lugs on controls Message me if you need any help & I'll try my best Shaun
