I use a little Makita as a quick once over at the weekend just to get rid of loose mud and salt but never near electrics/bearings. I then use sponge and soap before a quick rinse and respray wd40.
  2. Thought for the day: If I go to the trouble of making you breakfast in bed, a simple 'Thank you' is all I need. Not 'How did you get in my house?'

I bought a pair of leather jeans off eBay for £30. A bit tight if having to wear my Elvis onesie underneath..... Fashion wise - what DT says - though I bought them to protect my skin, not to frequent the Blue Oyster bar! Wore them to squires in a downpour and didnt leak - used Kiwi boot polish which kept 5 hours of wetness out! Very hot and sweaty in the summer and SWMBO hates them!

I wonder if its a coincidence that the first scene is just after 'racking' up, shooting and trying to get the 8 ball with a 'cue'? lol What ever all that means.....
  6. Lol! Why?? Crazy woman - completely wrong shoes for it!
  7. I thought I was having a bad week!
  8. Lol. If only I was born before '76! They say you should only regret what you have not done - if only I could turn back time and did my test 20 years ago!
  9. Welcome btw! After being 'drag towed' by a 2 stroke earlier this year seriously thinking about getting one myself (after I get rid of the L plates)!
  10. 'Worth going to?' Looks like typical iPhone autocorrect! lol

Think they've all had a bit of something to act that well!
  12. Both front and back should operate the light. Check all your earth points are clean. Double check the wire is connected at your switch. When I had light issues it was the earth wires.

Haha! Maybe I should change it to something less halloweeny!

Congrats to the Mrs - on graduating and also for looking so much younger :-) Some people suit a tache more than others - a couple of years ago I sported a goatee..... but I just do not have the sort of nose I want to underline!

Not that it would make a huge difference to a SR!!

Ok maybe not foil/turkey. I'll use btu outputs of radiators instead - chromed or polished steel radiators produce approx 25-30% less btu's per hour than a painted surface.

By producing a polished finish you reduce the conductivity by around 30%. The polished surface will reflect the heat back in, like foil around a turkey.

Hi Benedictine. Not seen you on here for a while! My throttle stopped being smooth last week. After diagnosing (wrongly) that it must be the grip an spending far too much time in the cold teasing oil between the grip and the bar I then dripped some 3 in 1 down the cable. Fixed it instantly!!

Wow! Looking very good. I still don't quite understand how you are doing it. Any chance you could come down and show me, on mine?!

I hold my hat aloft to you! You're obviously doing a proper college course! It's almost full time lol. My kids take up pretty much all my free-time and what's left the wife takes!! All polishing and cleaning has to be insitu cos its a work horse and the Mrs needs use of the car for our youngest to get to play group! Seriously though it would be great to have another bike so I could strip mine right back too - probably take me til summer '15 to get it all finished
