Got to be Hastings for bank holiday Monday. The Battle of Hastings run. -
Does it come in a bigger bottle?

I'd go for the 250 for a while. Going from no bike to 600cc in the time it takes to get your direct access might be too much. As Dirty DT says, it only goes as fast as you twist the throttle, but a small blip of a 600cc throttle is a lot more power than a small blip of a 125 throttle. You might want to get a bit more road wise before you take on a 180mph sports bike.

Thanks Drewpy, I'll try that.

That is definitely a bit suspect

Welcome to the YOC

to the YOC. The bike looks tidy. I'm surprised you can get up to 65-70 mph in London

Yes I've tried that. It's a bugger having a rare bike. I was hoping that someone might know an old bike dealer who has this kind of unusual part in the back of a shop/garage. I think that's my only hope. I've tried websites in Britain, Europe, America and Japan but it's like trying to find Unicorn sh!t.

Well done Bippo. Good luck for the Mod2, I'm sure you'll pass that as easily as you did Mod1.

Every bike I've ever owned has come from eBay.

One of my silencers has a hole in it . Does anyone know where I can get a silencer for a 1982 TR1. I've tried all the usual websites and can get fittings and fixings for the exhaust but can't find the silencer. Please, someone help me

Welcome. Going from 125 to 800cc might be seen as a bit of a jump. I only went as far as 750cc when I passed my test . Just remember the bike only goes as fast as you twist the throttle.

It's not just Yamaha's that do it. I had a Kwak GPZ600 that did it.
