  1. I wasn't at fault at all. The car driver didn't look and just changed lanes with no indication. The traffic police that stopped shortly after the accident (who says there's never one around when you need one) agreed that he was to blame and so did his insurance company as they paid out the full cost of my bike.
  2. I got to spend the day with my youngest daughter. Cinema, dinner, walk around the local park. All in all a good day with prezzies from my other two daughters who were in other parts of the country today.
  3. Just remember, the faster you filter the less time you have to allow for assholes. This is exactly what I was doing on a GPZ600 in January when the ass in the right lane decided he wanted to be in the left lane and 'didn't see' that I was in his way. Next thing I knew I was picking myself up off the road and he had a GPZ sized dent in his rear passenger door.
  4. Guzzi Califonia. Want one
  5. We're not talking about 'Biker Gangs!!!' are we?
  6. That's what bikes are all about. Three hours gone without realising it and a face-splitting grin. Stay safe and enjoy the many rides to come.
  7. That's just plain wierd

  14. I think they should expand this to the assholes who think the national speed limit on a non-motorway road is 40mph. Going down the A339 to Alton I've had to brake hard on many occasions as I come off a corner at 60 only to find a car doing 35 - 40.
  15. I nod to everyone I pass on two wheels and a motor (even pizza bikes), everyone had to start small. I started on a 50 scooter and still remember the great feeling I got the first time a 'Big Bike' nodded at me.
  16. Tried to start the CB750 and it wouldn't run. Engine turned over but just wouldn't catch. Got off and checked fuel, leads, etc but couldn't find any fault. Called the AA man and waited 45 minutes for him to come out. He looked round the bike, turned the cut out switch to RUN and started the bike first push of the button.
  17. Unfortunately it's a***holes like this that most people think of when they see a biker. We're all lumped together as speed freak death wish morons.
  18. Welcome to the YOC. Open a thread in the Project forum so we can see the progress
