  4. ram mounting system is best but can be pricey, try amazon for cheaper alternatives you can read customer reviews on there, then compare price on ebay, also tom tom & garmin are best but expensive, I use a binatone from argos, does a good job for me as i also use it for work and has bluetooth so you can have an ear piece in helmet, saver than looking at screen

  15. well I had to take a day off from work today as i had the electric man coming round ti fit a new meter. my meter is at the back of my garage so i had move my bikes out & a lot of other crap, they said he will be here before 1pm so i thought i will make good use of my day off and get my bike mot'd in the afternoon, so I got up early to empty the garage and do a pre MOT check, 1st I got electrical gremlins which I predicted would happen to grouch, took me over 2 hours to sort out then i discovered that I had been riding round with an almost flat front tyre, which i had a bit of a pop at grouch about a couple of days ago, serve's me right for being a smart arse all I can say is grouch I apologize in future I will keep my big gob shut, the good news is my bike passed
  16. yes andy, that's normal especially when cold, co's oil is thicker. someone else was asking about that on here last week let us know how you get on, if you need to fit new clutch, have a look on youtube "motorbike clutch" for how to do it it will be easier to understand wacthing it, if your still not sure see if there's any other YOC members local who can help?
  17. andy, screw adjuster on clutch lever right in so its slack, follow your clutch cable down to where it connects to motor casing, usually there is a rubber or plastic disc on the face of that casing, praise that off with a screwdriver inside you will see nut with a screw in the center. hold screw and loosen nut about 1 turn then turn screw clockwise until you feel resistance then turn back half a turn, hold screw while you retighten nut, now re adjust cable on clutch lever.
  18. wow that's a lot of cash for an inner tube especially on the front but your lucky it didn't cost you a trip in an ambulance. but you live and learn ps well done blackhat you could see it coming from scotland and grouch couldn't see it sitting on the bike ha ha sorry grouch mate but at least your still in one piece
  19. you see some bikers in 1 piece leathers look sillier than that, always make me laugh when they have only been to tesco for a pint of milk and their dressed in track day specials
