  1. right the oil is 10 w and the amount of fork oil is 269cc or 9.47 imperial fl oz
  2. took the bike on a 30 mile run to warm the engine up did all of the above and still nothing the bike failed to start again so took the carbs back off and reset them by eye bike runs but when you get up to a speed of a about 70mph she holds back until you get past 70 mph and then it happens again at about 90 mph
  3. hi I have a yamaha xj600 I have spent weeks trying to balence the carbs but I have not been able to do this I have all the gauges for the job but I still cant get it right I was wondering if anyone in or near southampton could help me with this problem or do I need to put the bike in to a garage for them to sort out ?
  4. the bike does back fire just hope that it is not the cdi unit as they are not cheap
  5. update on this problem have drained all the old fuel out of the tank and had the carbs off as well and given them a good clean out and still she wont start going to try new spark plugs next

  7. I have a 1991 xj600 that wont start she turns over ok and she has a spark at the plugs also fuel is getting to the carbs as well she ran at the weekend but now wont start been working on her since monday if anyone has any thoughts on this please could you help me many thanks
