yamaha ybr 125 exhaust
I've got the same exhaust on my ybr. The pipe is the AIS so just disconnect it. Don't really need to block it off as there's a reed valve.

How does your YBR start?
08 ybr will be EFI chap. At least mine is.

YBR 125 chain and Sprocket
I did mine yesterday, took me about 3/4 of an hour tops. I did need an impact driver to undo the screws on the front sprocket cover though. Wes

How do i service a ybr 125
The ybr is ridiculously easy to work on. Get a Haynes manual and all will be explained.

YBR rear break up grade ?
I've just had the back brake on my YBR apart and cleaned it out (loads of crap in there making it stick) and it's better than ever now. Definitely worth having it apart imo.

Yamaha XT125 X colour change
What colour was the primer? I'm a painter by trade (used to do cars, now do aircraft) so might be able to offer some advice if needed. Wes

My little old YBR
Nope, no hole in mine either. I use the bike every day, so can't see it causing a problem tbh. I just disconnected the AIS tubing as there is no pipe in the Leo Vince to connect it. Having had it on a couple of months, it definitely gives me a bit more top end. Will happily cruise along at 60+ now, which was all I was after really. Wes

Is your actual annual mileage close to what you've told your insurer?
Don't see how they can. They have no idea what the current milage is, so how do they know how many miles I've done? Having said that I always over estimate. Wes

Do you wear a Hi-Vis?
I wear one, but I have to have one in to get past security into work, so I just bung it on when I leave the house. Still seems people can't see me though.

Sprocket and chain, do it my self?
DID chain and sprocket set is about £35 delivered off of Ebay. Got to be worth trying to do it yourself for a 65 quid saving Wes

My little old YBR
Yep, factory on the rear, Michelin Pilot Sporty on the front. Like that when I bought it last November. The stock tyres are rubbish, really horrible in the wet and particularly if it's cold I've noticed. As soon as I get round to it I'm gonna put another Pilot Sporty on the back too, as they are generally recognised as being pretty good. Wes

My little old YBR
Thought I'd add a couple of pics of my YBR for those that are interested. I've added a Fabbri flyscreen and a Leo Vince GP Corsa exhaust since I bought her. The flyscreen just helps to keep the windblast off my chest a bit, and the exhaust... well it's louder and I think it does give me a little bit more top speed. I'm a pretty big chap at 6'3" and 16 stone, so before I was lucky to get more than 55mph, whereas now I can sometimes get over 60! I thought you'd be impressed I've got a couple of videos of the exhaust if anyone's interested, one with the Db killer in and one without, although I haven't dared ride it without as it's properly loud! Cheers all Wes

Being vigilant near junctions has its perks.
I reckon I have this about once a week. The other day I had a fella walk straight out in front of me. Luckily I was in 1st gear doing about 4 mph. When I asked him what the bloody hell he was doing he says 'I didn't see you'. You have to think for everyone it would seem.... Wes

Motorcycle e-petition's (a few anyway)
The one about banning 2 strokes was started by a chap called Mike Hunt. Genius.

My RXS is dead. Crashing hurts.
Thanks to a nice lady in a Nissan Note who decided to pull out of a side road right in front of me, my little RXS is no more. After flying over her bonnet and sliding across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic on my arse, I've learnt the following - Crashing hurts. I got off lightly You can't legislate for all the idiots out there. Anyway, I've got a new bike and am back on the road - Little YBR, seems a cracking little starter bike, only thing I'm not keen on is the noise it makes, sounds very similar to my lawnmower That's all really. Be careful out there chaps/chapesses. Wes

Noob from Naaaarich
Hi all, Quick first post for you. I'm Mark, I've just bought a 1988 RXS100 to get to work and back instead of a car, which was costing me a fortune.. First ever bike at the age of 38, and now wish I'd got into it ages ago. Very limited knowledge of bikes, but I've done a few bits and bobs with the help of a trusty Haynes manual. So far it's had a new seat cover, gearbox oil change, new air filter, new mirrors and a bloody good clean. Needs a few other bits tidying and sorting, but bought it with a years T&T, so should keep me going for a bit. Anyway enough running on, here's some pics - Cheers ta Mark
