Wont be going up to the bridge today, theres an open day at the new Fylde superbikes in Preston so we're all off up there, Foggy's there so it should be worth a visit....

I booked for the Isle of Man this morning (theres nowt like living it rough for a week in your leathers) just wondering if anyone on here was going.........

I had a go on an 04 R1 a couple of weeks ago that had done 800 miles, it was awsome mines an 02 145bhp and when i got back on my bike it felt like a 125 compared to that, it supprised me how they can actually make an R1 better but they have, sign up for one monday, blue ones are faster

Ive spent all f*****g day fitting this, it already had an aftermarket undertray fitted when i bought the bike but it rattled, looked crap & it was hard to see the indicators so i wanted a new one. After looking at loads of them i desided on this one, but when it arrived it was slightly damaged, no screw holes for fitment, no fitting instructions and one of the led indicator bulbs was missing, but apart from that no probs . It has been the worst job on a bike ive ever done, it would of been easy to just throw it on but i wanted it right so have took my time cutting, rubbing, drilling etc & now its fitted i cant make my mind up if i like it or not. Well whatever happens its staying as i'm not doing it again so if your thinking of getting an aftermarket undertray get a differant one to this or have a big spliff ready as you'll need to be chilled or you'll just smash it up, its made by a co. called Rumble in canada. Ive got the fronts, im just waiting for the rear to arrive. Ive not fitted the fronts yet, i'm doing them all at the same time but they look the part and are supposed to work well too so we'll just haft to see. It cost me £365 just for the discs and ive yet to get the pads. I'll post a pic when they are done to see what you think....

I think the thing with covers is you get what you pay for so if the bike is kept outside i would buy a decent one, as the cheap ones are crap and wont last five minutues

Ive had quite a few big sports bikes but without a dowt the R6 & R1 are the best ive had, ive still got an 02 R1 and cant see me getting anything different for a good while. Every now & again, i have a moment of madness and think of getting summat else, ive tried blades, gsxr1000's/hayabusas (sorry), zx9's ect ect but i just dont feel right as i do on the R1. I know there are faster bikes, but none feel as ridable & comfortable to me as the R1. I went to a bike shop open day 2 weeks ago and had a go of the new zx10R, cbr1000(new blade) & an 04 R1 which is the most awsome machine ive ever been on, and will be my next bike when i can afford it. So i will no dought be a true yam-fan for a long time to come.....

You people really know how to lower the tone....we are on about georgeous, naked, perfectly curved women and you turn the conversation into big, fat, hairy, ring rodgerin biker blokes........

How about "your bird" as she is in avatar, on the front of me on the R1.... now thats the life..... Right i'm getting carried away with "normal" thoughts now, i'm off for a blast to get some wind through my helmet...........

Now then..looking at the bike just does'nt seem to have the same appeal all of a sudden

On road a four stroke, off road a two, if you dont haft to put the odd piston in every now & again, then you cant be riding it properly, but then again ive only ever had off road 2 strokes....so replacing pistons, rings etc has just become part of the service...

Well i'm the same too.... I must let the dog out 40 times a day just coz i haft to walk through the garage (where the bike is) to get out. After a night out on the piss ive found myself sat chilling out in the garage with a beer & a kebab just looking at the bike....... THIS IS NORMAL..... its people that dont have bikes that are abnormal coz they dont know what they are missing..... If it was a choice between riding the R1, my misses or sum1 elses misses, it would haft to be snowing, in a thunderstorm during an ongoing earthquake for me not to pick the bike.... thats enough, i'm going letting the dog out

Went up to "devils bridge" Kirby Lonsdale, about 80 miles away today in glorious sunshine, through all the lanes, theres nothing like it. Off to Olivers Mount tomorrow, should be another good ride, weather permitting.....

Its good to see so many different yamaha's that are being looked after, i should keep mine as clean but i just hav'nt got the patience, quick jet wash & back in the garage is my limit, anyway great pics keep them coming, we need more.............
