  1. Not sure what you ? is obv the chain is in the motor .Are you asking how to time it?
  2. How do and welcome at 6'7 any bike will be to small,my buddy at 6'4 rides a xl 650 and it looks like a mini bike under his 320lbs. At least if it breaks you can tuck it under your arm and carry it home
  3. Hey chris well your ignition switch seam to be the problem. 1 it shoud not start in the off pos. 2 the light are controled by the switch as far as on and off. 3 A worn ign.switch can short out and cause the bike to stop running cough and sputter. The battery is also probable goosed as they can onlly be run flat so many times befor they die.You can try removing it and fully charge it then test it but I don't think that it will hold a charge any more.
  4. A few hundred on the road? not likely mabey more like 20,the rest are under glass in museums or in private collections.
  5. LOL .28 seconds could be had by shifitng quicker,or the wind blowin behind. But after spending all that cash he has to justifie it to the wife.
  6. I would say it's normal just a bit of vaporing/rich try opening the throttle a bit.
  7. so I want something thats a bit "twitchy" on road and mediocre off it. Build it then sounds like a fun ride to work
  8. Sissy bar crap! it's a 12 O wheelie bar,,well maybe not but its not slowing it down ,Nice bike
  9. Wondering how far of a resto are you going? The rims and spokes look good in picts,so will it be a CIL (paint) rebuild/resto,recrome as nessary or right back to new?
  10. Your brother needs to clean his carb, either remove and clean fully reset it or it will stay running like crap. Grouch I'm going to go with your next bike "grouch" starts running worse, cause you haven"t pulled your carb and fully cleaned it.
  11. Dam you Grouch,WTF have you done. Kirrie hope you get it sorted quick.
  12. Hi and belated welcome. The wrong oil won't make the clutch stick,in fact it will help free it up. Before pulling the clutch appart, try removing the cable it's self and see if it's not seized. The clutch actuating arm on the eng should move with some effort, Tap with a hammer if it won't move. once freed up with the eng running again the arm might just free up now that its being lubed The internals of the clutch don't normaly seize up short of the metal plates sticking to the fiber plates, but that dosent stop the clutch lever from moving, the actuating arm and different metals involved are what would. You can pop the cover off and free up the clutch plates before ordering new parts, other than a gasket, as a bike clutch is multi plate wet clutch they last a long time unless abused. And with the small HP of a 125 it's prety hard to abuse it As far as 12 yr old plates blowing appart not likely,I'v still got the original's in my 13yr old bike. Good luck with the CBT and happy riding
  13. Hope your noy GROUCHED all ready, riding on spongy breaks
  14. Windy as sh=t today +12 c not good fore much but ridin this way ..////.]////.]//.[[//[.[.]
  15. I bought 1 of thesehttp://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6/Tools/Sockets/SocketSets/PRD~1990900P/Mastercraft+Impact+Wrench+%26+Socket+Set+Combo.jsp?locale=en about 15 years ago , I don't use it that often but it works great, when I don't want to run/wait for the compressor, and for how often you would need it, it would do the job.And for 60 bucks you realy can't go wrong. There must be something comparable your way.2-3 weeks ago they were on sale for 30 bucks But pick up one of the hand held hammer type like in post 38,much better for small bolts, like switch/throttle housings, and will undo any bolt or nut on a motorcycle. I'm on my 3rd one they get used so much. Well my wr is running again and it's going to hit 10 today not a cloud in the sky so I'm off for a muddy ride.

Woha I was not offened by his comment's,it was just a riddle, and with his answere's,I would have come back with that over a beer. He does ride a shaft drive bike. Sheese lighten up
  17. R u trying to curse yourself, don't ever say nothing can go wrong. I went to go for a ride 3 days ago,, got 3 other bike's running, after sitting all winter,,,fired up the wr warmed it up and shut it off,and got grouched, the spark cap decided to crap out,and I didn't have a spare so while everyone else went riding I cleaned the garage as it was sunday and the only day the part shop 5 min down the road is closed. Buy a Impact driver they can be had for 20 bucks or less and a great thing for stubron bolts, have the shop put blue loctite on the bolts,it keeps bolts from vibrating loose and keeps them from seizing,I put it on every bolt. And have them replace any dodgie bolts with allen bolts Ever though about buyin a bike to learn on one that dosn't matter how long it take's to fix, nobody can tell you over the net how to get a bolt out ,it just take's time to learn
  18. Sharp looking bike the PO must have put a few hours into customizing it and takin care of it
  19. Holy duck you have no luck with fixin things, might be best for you to just let someone else do it for you, untill you can get someone to show you how to do things.Hope the broken plastic dosn't cost much to fix, what did you break? A impact driver would have made short work of the seized bolts.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impact_driver O well you have given us a new way of sayin things "GROUCHED"and have a good sence of hummor.
  20. A battery tender will solve the problem of not starting for months on end or just days. If running for short periods dosn't re charge the battery then you might have a faulty volt reg/rec,or weak charging coils. 5 min of running time should be enought to recharge the battery. Also possible is the starter is weak needing more than normal CCA to do the job.

And the winning answer is NO as ther was no question asked. Now to the winn contestant Kirrie (suspisously a girls name) did you come to the answer while havin your ass pushed by a shaft, thinking about transexual men ,or did you boyfreind help you
  22. Weld a large washer to the race, this will do 2 things 1 give you something to hit,2 it will shrink the race making it much easier to drive out.
