I'm an auld cnut and my test (1981) consisted of only the 2nd part of your experience drewps, followed by a couple of highway code questions and off with the L plates -

Surely sitting your test is preferable/cheaper than having to resit a CBT every other year -
Cant help you with your spares questions, but well done in getting home. I imagine looking at your route you had as good a time as I do riding to work mate, well done
