  3. Just read this from start to finish. A good thread and a good job, well done mate. It would be a great shame to sell it after putting so much work into it. Is it not possible to fit a 125 engine and get through the new licence that way mate
  4. Good on you mate, well done
  5. Cheers for all the replies folks. I have now got used to opening MO
  6. Not familiar with that bike, but if it has 5 friction plates then it should have 4 plain plates
  7. Try chewing on these ginger nuts
  8. I would say a choc digestive, but your question reminds me of an incident at work a number of years ago. 4 or 5 of us sitting around the piece table, 4 cops and a wpc. One bloke opens up a kitkat and says to the girl, "you'll take a finger", as straight faced as you like. I nearly pissed myself laughing...oh how I miss the non-PC days
  9. Cheers Drewps, unless I'm not understanding you, I dont think so. My wifes email inbox on BT Yahoo has about 40 odd messages sat in it, whereas mine is emptying after each message, but hey no worries, at least I know they're sitting in the Microsoft Outlook box.
  10. Thanks for the replies folks. Is this a new thing, as it only started happening last week
  11. Sach Although my broadband provider is SKY, the email provider I use is BT Yahoomail, and have done for a number of years. It was only this week the emails started disappearing. Some of those I had saved for reference and I panicked a bit, but clicking on the email icon on the taskbar, Microsoft Outlook came up with all the lost emails. I was just wondering why they are vanishing from the BT Yahoo page
  12. A wee problem has manifested itself on my laptop. Once I close my email page, the next time I open it my inbox has emptied itself. It first did this on Friday night and has continued doing the same thing each time I open the email page. My email account is btyahoo. Anyone any ideas on the reasons for this (the disappearing emails, not why I use btyahoo). As an aside the IE email still has a full inbox. I just discovered this today, so it was a wee bit of a relief
  13. Dunno anything about that Benny Gies a shout the next time you're up there and I'll gie it a miss
  14. I'm at Fazzers. We brought the Ark up to unload its munitions at Glen Douglas, then a year later it was Invincibles turn. I checked over other pics and it was invincible, Here is the Ark and heres one that'll interest you Mike...one (a yank) in and one (a Bomber) out

    New Bike

Looking at the dates, I am off on the saturday, so should make it then, although I had a bad experience at that show last year. I went through on my xjr and was wandering around. After about an hour it dawned on me that it was full of auld men, then it hit me, I cannot be the only young person here....I must be auld
  16. Mike I work on them Lochs, The 3 of them. Heres me at my work ...and heres me with the Ark (although it may be Invincible)

    New Bike

Well a dash down to Preston and back means my garage now has a Virago parked in it. Its bought for my boy so will need put on a rolling road and restricted, but the bike has been restored so wont need any spending for a while. Heres the fleabay ad until I get some pics of my own http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160951145865?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  18. I'm thinking, with your own self confessed inexperience in working on bikes, is that you have mixed up / disconnected / disturbed some wiring in the headlamp. Get a wiring diagram take the light off and have a look
  19. I just sold an xjr1200, and it hurt me to do so. They are a fantastic bike and if I could've, I would've kept it, even if it was just for a once a year run on it
  20. Well if you do direct access you dont need to restrict it
  21. Havent used it myself* but those apparently in the know recommend dumping windoze and using this http://www.ubuntu.com/ It supposedly so much faster without all the irritating pop ups. *Only because I dont have the time or inclination
  22. What age are you paul, if under 24? you have missed the cut off date for licence changes, but he good thing about that is you can ride on a 46bhp restriction
