Heavy Duty bike cover
Cheers folks. I was looking to spend about £70 (having learned my lesson last year with the £30 Oxford) so the stormex seems the better bet. I checked over their reviews and it seems to score well being BIKE mag Recommended

Heavy Duty bike cover
Folks I'm looking for recommendations for a heavy duty bike cover. I need to take the bike out the shed for a few weeks and the weather up here is shit. I bought an Oxford cover last year and it didnt last the pace. The silver coloured material (for those who know) ended up shredded with just a little wind

Yamaha XS250 starting problems
Welcome to the nut house mate, and owning a frigging xs250 you deserve to be in it............ Only kidding bud, I'm sure the boys on here will get it sorted. If this forum was about in 1980-82 I probably wouldn't have an inbuilt disgust of the 250......Give us some pics of your Bonnie, go on go on

FJR SAGA!
All very interesting, but the bit I'm stuck at is Next Day delivery from China......Fuck me I had to wait over a fortnight for summit from Amazon and they have a factory about a mile and a half from my house......I did ask if I could walk over to collect it

Am I just unlucky?
I agree with slice. Bearing in mind the bike is 16yrs old. Might not have much mileage on it but you dont the POs riding style. Dont be put off the bike. I dont imagine the fork bushes (phosphor bronze?) will cost much, so set aside a day and strip the forks down. Look for any bends, kinks or ripples in the stanchions. If straight, rebuild using the new bushes and seals. Fill with fresh measured oil and when complete do not fully tighten all bolts, rather when assembled hold on the front brake and bounce it up and down. This should get all components lined up true. Then finish off tightening everything up. Bobs your proverbial.

Still trying for age related plate
I bought my xs1100 on a Q plate back in 1990. It had been brought into the UK from Holland and the frame and engine numbers matched. Anyway I contacted Yamaha UK and they sent me out a letter stating it was a 1979 model imported for sale in Europe. I was issued an age related plate on the strength of that. Prior to getting this plate I ran it around for two years, and although a Q plate wasn't so problematic, afair, I couldn't get a NCD on it Probably not much help to you Noise, but good luck on whatever you do

Replacing the front brake master cylinder
Good on you for trying it Grouch...Surely that will give you some confidence..Bleeding the brake is easy, especially if you are using the tube into a half filled bottle/jar. Just dont let the reservoir run dry when you are pumping it
