I described my first tat (done by a scratcher in his kitchen whilst his wife made rolls and sliced sausage) as being like a guy plunging a hot knife in my arm and carving a shape in it. Vowed never to do it again, but a month later I was sat there again enjoying the same pain and another roll on slice (but only because I felt unbalanced with just one arm done)
Maybe it's an age thing, or a job thing, but if I get cut up, or have a near miss or whatever, I put it behind me and concentrate on whats in front. So much easier / safer to focus on whats happening rather than dwell on what happened
The great thing about encouraging others to tear off wingmirrors is that you don't get the Police Caution and/or day in court when the guy shows his dashcam to the Cops.
No Court in the land will admonish you for mal/misc (scotland) or crim damage just because you felt threatened, rather they would encourage you to have reported the other person. Whilst in Law you have a statutory right to self defence, kicking someones mirror off at the end of an argument will not form part of that right.
Anyway what if it was Ronnie Fucking Pickerings mirror....you're in big trouble there
Hit it on the head there Tommy....Cabin Fever. Once the winter woolies (me included btw) get our bikes back on the road it should be better....And the upgrades? In my experience most folk moan about anything changing. We always hark back to how things were better....fek me I still go on about my auld 59 Speed Twin as a great bike when in reality, well.........
I feel the need...The need to keep my eyes peeled for speed cameras
Four fried chicken and a coke...no wait, better make that a sparkling mineral water
This is the winter of our discontent, cos we never kept up the flood defences so we're all flooded out
Yip
A guid new year to ane an' a'
An' mony may ye see,
An' during a' the years to come,
O happy may ye be.
An' may ye ne'er hae cause to mourn,
To sigh or shed a tear;
To ane an'a baith great an' sma'
A hearty guid New year.
I totally agree it's a great Yam colour scheme, but I don't think it's right for the TR1. I always saw the racing block as exactly that, and the big XS' and TR1s as either black or silver.......but hey I know fek all....I'm totally enjoying your rebuild story. I've owned a xs1100 but never a TR1, Keep up the good work
Must have been before my time Bud, but looked up that name and it would appear they are still a member, nay a moderator, no less (so you'll be in trouble)
Yea but you don't count....He specifically mentioned " this horrible English weather! " so what he probably means is a slight drizzle and 15 degrees....bloody horrible ; )
