My 2006 XT has the exact same engine, I always warm the engine every time I use it, otherwise it would cut out as soon as stopped at lights etc. But once the engine is warm it shouldn't need the choke again.

It's true I am, and the sad thing is my dad is very practical and can fix almost anything to washers to laptops. I did not inherit his skills.

Now my bike is back on the road and mechanically sound I think we should have a little competition for a bit of fun. All you have to do is try and predict the next thing to get 'grouched'. It could take days or even months for something to happen so get guessing.

I'm so pissed off, if the bolts were not seized I could of done it.

Ultimate fucking failure, three bolts were threaded/seized and were impossible to unscrew. I have snapped my plastics (in temper) to get them off, then when I got to the final bolt on the tank it was totally rounded and seized through rust. So I phoned the garage £25 to fit so fuck it it's getting done tomorrow. I really don't give a fuck about £25 it really stressed me out and there was no way I could get the bolts out. I should of just phoned the garage in the first place. So now my plastics are snapped.
