Engine out to find the nut has come off the magneto but theres exsesive play in the big end so changing it still anyway : (

It does stil run but i wouldnt start it again. Parts started to arive : ) got it stripped just need my new socket set to come so i can get the engine out and open that up. Im hoping to be back on the road for saturday. Il keep you posted.

Got another for £45 and if it isnt a good un il get my money back this one's from a breakers and they said its spot on with no play in it.

Im 99% sure its the big end bearing, my new tools should come mon/tues so will begin to strip it then. Also can you adjust the clutch through the pin that goes through it as i think my mate had moved it and the clutch didnt seam to work when the engine wasnt running.

Ive ordered a decent tool kit,new crank, small end bearing, decent oil, full gasket set, spark plug and air filter. Im going to attempt it on my own think it will be better to learn and save £££.

I think it's the big end bearing, I'm going to get it to a propper bike shop and be done with it. It's guna be expensive.

I did 20 mile and it's broke again I never rag'd it once just took it easy. I stopped at a traffic light and it sound like the piston came loose or something then cut out. Not a clue what I'm guna do now.

Yes got it running lastnight it sounded sweet but the water pump started leaking so my mate is going to make a gasket for it today so I can pick it up after work. Can you advise me how to run it in? And what's the best transmission oil as he put 10w40 synthetic car oil in and said it would be fine but I'm not to sure about it.

How long does it take to run the bike in?

Put the new crank in today and the engine back in the bike. It started straight away and sounded sweet.

Managed to source a crank for £30 so picking that up next weekend then hopefully I can get it back on the road. Put a 260 main jet in why I had it in bits and done the inlet mod to. Thanks for the advice.

No the piston shattered but didnt damage the bore some how. The wear is very minor my mate has put the engine back together now with new bearings. Was wanting to know if it would be ok or do I need to change the crank?

I've put new bearings in but there was very minor wear were the crank sits in the bearing so looks like I need a new crank not put the engine back in the bike yet.

I can wobble my flywheel slightly think all the crank is moving with it very little though. Is this normal?

No just removed the tape and i had to adjust the carb as it was over reving ounce i took it off. I was only on full throttle for about 5 secs. Im getting the bike over to a mates tonight so il try them things and report back asap.

Hi all, need help as ive broke my Yam : ( i was riding down my street giving it some ypvs active then it went with a pop and cut out, i pulled over and tried kicking it and it wouldnt start and made a pop now and again. Tried kicking it some more and kick start has jammed and wont move in gear at all. All help would be greatly appreciated.

Haha some good quotes on top speeds realy tickled me. I have a DT125R 2002 and its fully derestricted and tops out at 73mph.

Ive did my CBT today, been on the bike done 65 mile lol. It seems well and unrestricted its nothing like it was when i test drove it. Can i make the ypvs come in earlier as it comes in at 7k.

I opened my air filter today to find masking tape wrapped around the plastic thing the air filter bolts to covering most of it. Why would anyone do that? Took it off but cant try out as got my CBT saturday : )

Hi, just singed up as ive got my 1st bike its a DT125R 2002 model. Can anyone please advise me on how to derestict it to full power or where i can find out. Many thanks Paullaith.
