  1. Hi honey badger. to the YOC. I've heard good things about hard chroming, but I don't know how good of shape they need to be in to have it done. other members will have a better idea.
  2. Billy! The 100 dirt bikes are about as big as I can ride since all the others are too tall for me... but sometimes the smaller ones are even more fun (IMHO).

Thanks DT! I am glad I didn't get it. hubby thinks the color and clear coat is the best way to go and since I've done similar to Beef and have gathered all the bits for one go at the blaster I think I'll just have Mike paint everything the appropriate colors.
  4. Do we get any pics?

Is it just the silver grey Hammerite? Glad the dust seals are still available. Going to see how the uppers clean up and talk to the motocross shop guys about where to get them hard chromed. All my bits and pieces should be sandblasted tomorrow. (yay!) Then I can move to the hard part of reassembly. woo-hoo I'm excited (can you tell?)

  7. Aww thanks... too bad I don't have any useful information. And btw how fast will my DT go?!
  8. You've come to the right place then. Take dt502001's advice and post your questions in the workshop. You're likely to get more help there.
  9. Hi Steve! to the YOC. You'll want to post any technical questions in the workshop. This section's just for intros and they don't always get read... but I haven't read all the new posts so you may have already done that.

Yes those do look good DirtyDT. Looks like that's what I'll be doing. My rubber cover pieces are buggered though. All of the rubber is just so brittle.
  11. +1 My thoughts exactly.
  12. Hi Dzish. to the YOC! Looks like a fun ride.
  13. Hi Dmac. aboard. Sounds like you already know you've come to the right place. I'm sure the folks'll help you get the wiring sorted in no time. You could start a project thread too so I can be a voyeur.
  14. Very nice. And what a beautiful garden you have.
  15. hi Cam. to the YOC. Those are nice looking bikes you've got judging from your avatar... if those are indeed your bikes. j/k
  16. Those are great! I bought a Chinese dress and the care tag reads "doing not want the pub asks" so does that mean iron or no?
  17. holy hell! maybe there was a bug crossing behind her and she was just patient enough to let it pass.

Awesome. Thank you both! I guess I should've asked what the missing part was for in the first place. thanks for the link too... one of those filters looks exactly like the one I have on the G7S.
  19. You should be able to import the iPhone video to iMovie and then share it to YouTube... if you have iMovie. It came free on my Mac.

Well, here I am asking for help (again). After a serious battle with the screws I finally managed to remove the fuel valve from the tank. But it looks like a piece is missing from it. It's strange because it wasn't anywhere in the tank. I"m not sure what happened to it. Mine looks like this and a replacement one looks like this So am I crazy or am I going to need the replacement? Well, I'm probably crazy. I feel terrible... I'm no help at all for anyone here, but always needing help. Sorry. It doesn't seem like I've made much progress lately, but I have got things ready for the sandblaster, just waiting on him and then I can at least get the bulk of the frame parts painted and reassembled. Then I'll just have the shocks, wheels, brakes, forks, and engine to tackle. (not a tall order at all... ha!)
