love those bikes - my back wouldn't be up to it but they sound great too don't they, look the business and in lovely condition, must be worth a bit and collectable I imagine, thanks for posting the pictures, vey nice, lucky man.

hey 10' x 10' that's big enough for a sofa, a bike or two, wokbench a tv and maybe..a bed - you are the shed king you bothering with insulation? Got some camping stuff in mine including a primus stove but haven't got round to using it. Listen to the radio, got a clock and binnoculars (no not to spy) - we have a lot of aircraft buzzing about here, some more interesting than others. this is bernard shaw and his shed that could swivel round to follow the sun

I'm not that of a train buff myself but this is pretty good - n gauge which is quite a small scale and yet comes over well, the size of the layout and its complexity plus the sound track make it quite a nice ride if you have the time part two if you are interested

via a mcn email i got a code to get a quote from the above firm, it wasn't a bad quote either considering the reason i phoned was to take advantage of their free toolkit worth £15 or so just for getting a quote but boy do they make you work for it, i was on the blower for ages and then they put pressure on to sign up there and then even though its not actually due just yet.

yep there is that - wife's a staff nurse, she put a load of stingy propriety dressings on, she thinks it's clean but yes i am well out of date on tetanus thanks though - appreciated i think the sharps were pieces of wood, like a picture rail that had been broken up and shoved in the bin vertically - anyway what are you doing up late, work tomorrow you know

:icon_sad: took the dog out this evening, just had overalls on as i'd been doing some house repairs dog sees cat, violently flies off, lead caught in my hand drags me with her, i lose balance on crashing into an open wheelie bin would have been ok i suppose but all sorts of sharp stuff sticking out of the top of the bin with the lid folded back, got this knife like would, wife says get it stitched but that means hours in a & e so i'll just take pain killers and get sleepy that's why i'm bothering you lot so late so loads of bike riding this week end - no problems, take the dog out and get a nasty deep cut... ...

just musing - related is the way small shops are closing down in the face of internet competition and big retailers taking the lions share, be sorry if our local 'motorists shop' goes, a family business, ok their stuff costs a bit more but then no travel involved and they are helpful, take goods back and have a good level of stock.

do you have a farm by any chance where do you keep all those bikes tommy and how many are road legal at present please? the only way i can think to justify a third is on the grounds that i am more likely to have a working bike at any one time, at the moment one seemingly is always being repaired, waiting for a part or for some reason not in a good state to use.

don't have any problem with the mrs minding really, she has the dog as her expensive hobby - much as i love the dog too, it's hers and the girls who hake a great deal of fuss of the animal although late night walks are down to me. anyway, lets see - all the bikes go on one insurace policy so no real expense there for a third bike, another lot of tax and mot - say £50 per year more then but the maintenance, that can be expensive, a new exhaust system for example and so it goes on round and round, got to make my mind up by september as that's when it will be available. current bikes my mechanic friends bike that he is selling in september - 55k miles but looked after, doesn't use any oil.

lacking imagination, be happy with what i've got although wish bits didn't keep coming off plus an old sunbeam would be nice. the Brough Superior mentioned above is an attractive bike and i'd like a matchless g3 because my dad had one and they sound lovely old sunbeam

they must have liked the look of you mike (or as you ex naval types say, ' liked the cut of your jib') - treatment and food quality is variable i find, bakers are always ok

Unfortunately it's a***holes like this that most people think of when they see a biker. We're all lumped together as speed freak death wish morons. the guy just didn't seem to have any fear did he? Not for himself or care about others, saw a few pedestrians scuttle out of the way or hang back
