I've decided to go for a Yamaha Fazer or a Suzuki Bandit. Final decision will likely be made on price at the time of purchase.

I nod to all bikers, sometimes compliment a nice bike if stuck at light. Cab Drivers usually get the finger though. HOW TO: Nod in london. Side nods will start a fight/race if its a teen on a 50cc. Frontal nods/waves to everything else.

Need help picking a bike so I know what to save for. What i've looked at so far: (in order of preference) Suzuki Bandit 600 / GSX650F Yamaha XJ6 Honda CB 600 Just a few ideas. Please help me to pick a bike that i'll be comfortable on. 6ft 2" around 16.5 stone Also, could anyone explain how choke/carbs works? To be able to afford a 600 i'll be buying an old one so I doubt i'll have Fuel Injection.

Kawasaki Ninja 250 for around town. Yamaha R1 for showing off FJ1300 for longer rides. Shame that I cant even ride any of these

Deffo sounds like battery. Headlight runs off alternator so that's why you're seeing that behaviour.

@up.yours I'm a student ON HOLIDAYS!!! In all honesty, I friggin hate my sixth form! Would much rather be employed. I'm a certified computer technician with relevant experience and i'm currently training as a network technician/administrator. But even PC world wont give me a job.... Rage!

First things first: Not a crash Bike is fine Doing a left turn at a junction. Hit a piece of plastic halfway through the turn and it took the back wheel. the piece of plastic was flung out behind me due to the wheel spinning. When the wheel caught traction again the resulting jolt did something to my back. Managed to get home but my back hurts

I've had my YBR for around 2 months now and here's what I've worked out... Keep it clean to keep the rust away Check oil every few days - top it up with the correct oil (10w40 i think) if you need to. Get it checked if you're constantly topping up because that may indicate a leak. Check tyre pressure before you go for a ride (it takes two seconds) - Give em a quick squeeze. If they feel a little squishy - give em a proper check and top em up to recommended pressures. (25psi front - 29psi back (up to 90kgs)(41psi on the rear if over 90kgs) Its a Japanese bike so its well built (almost bulletproof - ALMOST)
