TDM900 restricted to 33bhp
I've just come out of my restricted period - got the certificate and all that carry on. No one ever asked about the restriction or asked to see the certificate - including the insurers .... most expensive bit of paper (that no one has ever asked for) that I've ever bought !

TDM 900
Going to be saying goodbye to my trusty wee Fazer 600 which I've thoroughly enjoyed throughout the even more satisfying 2 year restricted cc period (yeah, right) which is now over . I commute daily and use my bike when out visiting patients as part of my job. I really like the look of the TDM 900 as both a daily sommuter and occasional tourer. Was just keen to hear any thoughts on the bike as I'm unfamiliar with it and whether you'd recommend any accessories to enhance the experience ?? As always, cheers in advance

Newbie to the bike world
Welcome pal ..... Can't help on the finance question but as for the fazer (which I commute on daily) I'm 5'8 and find the bike just about right although possibly a little small for my tastes. At 6'6 I really would have reservations about you not becomeing pretty sore esp if you're putting in decent milege ....... just my humble opinion though. Hope all goes well on the finance front ... been there ... couldn't afford the T Shirt.....

Airhawk seat
Went on a long ride out with some friends not too long ago and my backside was aching afterwards. I haven't bought the item your asking about but spoke to others who have - basic answer was they do a good job but if your putting in serious mileage then you'll still have to stop and massage the ol' buttocks ....

Given the choice would you wear a helmet?
Did they have bikes back then ???????

Given the choice would you wear a helmet?
I agree . Living in quite a rural spot I travel long some country roads before hitting the motorway for work and during the summer the blinkin airbourne bugs are akin to a squadron of kamikazee pilots. I love keepin the visor up on the lid but I've now decided to keep it down when travelling over 30. I also came off at a low speed in January - headbutted the road + torn rotator cuff. Don't want to think about having no helmet would have produced .......

Riding home from work today behind some chump on a BMW who : 1. Didn't acknowledge a single driver for pulling in to let him past - and there were a few and 2. When I happened to end up sitting on his wing at the next set of traffic lights - I looked over to give a wee nod - ignorant git didn't even turn his head :madflame: What is up with some bikers ???? I know we can all have a bad day and would gladly kick everything in sight while on 2 wheels but I've passed so many bikers recently who are either legally blind and don't see me or must suspect I've killed their dog & slept with their wife - or is itt the other way round? Rant over ! Something funny .... read the reviews and buy at your peril. You have been warned ! http://www.amazon.co...ASIN=B000KKNQBK

Good job RubySR ... did exactly the same thing. It still gives me pleasure as I pass the queues every morning and think ... "that was me" even through the wind & rain.

CLICKING NOISE
Hi Lads & Ladesses.... I've noticed when turning on the ignition of my Fazer a series of clicking noises that lasts for a few seconds. It sounds like it's coming from around the switchgear somewhere. The bike always starts and is running well. Any ideas ? Or am I just hearing noises ??? Cheers in advance
