Pikey trikey!!
What makes them different from other trikes then? I reckon trikes must be easier than a sidecar outfit - at least they handle the same whether you're going round left or right hand corners!!

which 650 adventure /enduro bike?
I'd definitely go with the TDM from that lot, for comfort and reliability. Also good for tall people!! I'm 6'4" and it was nice to find a bike that fitted!

Petrol, In or Out?
I'm a "tank full, carbs empty" kind of guy, although my bikes don't really get wintered as I don't have a car! If I'm going to be leaving a bike for more than a couple of weeks, I tend to turn the fuel off (or disconnect the vacuum line) and run the bike till it stops - tends to stop the jets from varnishing up.

Silly question - gear reader for a YBR 125
That's a coincidence - my nails usually match my boots - black!!

Silly question - gear reader for a YBR 125
That one probably won't, but this one would: http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/gear-change-indicator-shift-light-multi-colour-for-vehicles-with-cable-drive-speedometer-127-p.asp It looks to be relatively easy to install and set up.

Silly question - gear reader for a YBR 125
True enough, but even after a lot of years on a bike, I still occasionally go for a gear that isn't there!

which 650 adventure /enduro bike?
Fair enough. The rules are different in Guernsey, and are also different now from when I started riding!

which 650 adventure /enduro bike?
Forgive my ignorance, but is there a limit on what cc you can ride after doing the DAS? If not, have a look at the TDM850 - they come up quite cheap. Good reliable bike, and very comfy. If you go that way, try and get the 2nd Generation (made late 1996 onwards, preferably as late as possible, 1999-2001 ish), as there were improvements made from the first gen, particularly the firing angle of the motor. (Changed from 360° to 270°). If you can squeeze the budget far enough, you may even get an early 900. If not, try and replace the standard exhaust with a Lazer or Micron race system - the power difference is astounding!

xj600 raise
If I remember correctly, it's not on dog bones (at least mine wasn't). The shock just went straight from the frame to the swingarm. I used to have a list of shock lengths / eye sizes. I'll see if I can find it and post it on here.

Virago 535 Hardtail
Time will tell! Fortunately we've got a massively fast 35mph speed limit over here (just a guideline, obviously!!) so hopefully it won't get too much grief. Also, I don't think torque will be a problem - it is only a 535, after all! Hopefully there will be some more updates soon. With any luck the exhaust and inlet manifold should now be done, so should be just a case of sticking the carb on (single SU carb from an old mini), bang it on the dyno and set it up, then out on the road!! (Just in time for winter!! )

Virago 535 Hardtail
Everything cleaned and painted, wiring started: Nearly there: Off to have the exhaust and inlet manifold fabricated: Should be back with me for finishing touches soon!
