  1. As DirtyDT says its the move to fixed penalty that's the good part, a fine and 3 points could see a lot of the idiots loosing there licences. Albeit not a really busy road but on a local roundabout the two lanes are clearly marked up with great big white arrows on the road as the inside one for turning left and straight on and the right hand lane for turning right, but this morning as most mornings you will get someone using the right hand lane to overtake you on the roundabout while going straight on, this morning was a silver BMW estate ( surprisingly with working indicators ).
  2. I don't give a shite if they nod or wave back, I always nod and wave if I can, only time its a bit difficult is if I am in the middle of a gear change.... or some other manoeuvre... I even wave at other bikers when I am in my cage...
  3. When I was younger I always hankered after a Benelli Sei 750 or a Honda CBX 1000, it was the lure of 6 cylinders. More recently its the Triumph Rocket 3, even though its only got half the number of pots.
  4. Bloody Yorkshire Terriers.....
  5. Yup, and if you search for the Harley Softail Classic, you will see where the Dragstar Classics lines come from...
  6. +1 for the intro, but sounds like a shagged battery to me, just because it seems to be taking a charge doesn't always mean it has. I changed my battery last year for exactly the same reason, charger said it was fully charged only to go to it the next day and it was flat again.
  7. The problem I think you have in trying to take this too far is that if you agreed to the first amount the fact that they undercharged doesn't mean you don't owe it as the first agreement will be taken as a contract. Best call it quits and don't use them again.

    safety

At least the scoot will weigh a bit, I saw a lady doing that with her pushbike outside Aldi's the other week, and just for a laugh picked her bike up and moved it to another post, she didn't even notice when she came out.
  9. Hello and welcome, I am south of Leicester but still in Leicestershire, just.
  10. Google it, Up Yours is right, its bull, yeah its got more additives, but as petrol goes its just petrol. I had a Subaru Legacy Twin Turbo up to last year, all the guys on the forums said that you had to use the super, but inside the filler cap of mine it said use 95 only, so I did, and it went like shite off a shiny shovel, and no problems, so I stick with standard, until its proven otherwise, for BS standards to be quoted in that industry they have to be complied with, trust me I work within an industry where BS and other standards mean if you don't comply you don't trade.
  11. Very nice, always made me laugh how the speedo goes up to 80mph
  12. Arghhh, aint it cute, mine didn't have the fairing and was a metallic bronze colour, remember going to Hunstanton one bank holiday weekend, this was before all the bypasses where built around Wisbech and Kings Lynn etc and because of the amount of traffic and jams it was Just as quick on the Fizzy as going in a car.
  13. Yeah you right about that but then I have got an answer thanks to you :-) Cheers Andy
  14. The OP made one post nearly a year ago, I don't think you are going to get an answer.

    NOS Yam RD250

Mmmm, tempting, but its not a proper RD250 its got water all around its engine, now if it was the old air cooled then that would be my yooth.
  16. The other side of this is I know several people who are on unemployment benefit and have no intention of getting a job as in their words "Its not worth me going to work for a few extra quid a week" One of them got a job for more than the minimum wage but then walked out 2 days later as it was boring, somehow he managed to keep his unemployment benefit.
  17. Ayup Noise, you missed out Cable Ties... A piece of tinfoil, Gaffa Tape and cable ties fixed our motorhome exhaust when the down pipe split from the silencer and was still fine 400 miles later when we got home and had it welded. Toutsuite, not sure if you have any but ACF50 is also good to spray into electrics and switches.
  18. Interesting, I knew that the Barmouth railway bridge had a footpath and allowed pedal bikes, didn't realise you could also cross with a motorbike.
  19. Tit Monday is that special day in the year when, for the first time, the temperature rises above that magical point which causes girls getting dressed in the morning to decide to show a bit of skin.
  20. Am I the only one that finds the metoffice forecast to be the most inaccurate & vague even though they have the most funds thrown at them compared to a local forecaster working in his garden shed with a simple website, OK that last bit may be exaggerated but sites like "The Weather Forecast" and "Metcheck" seem to offer a forecast with information where as the metoffice is just vague. And my battery is fully charged as the bike has been used through the winter, I just don't go as far then I don't get too cold....
  21. And he is trying to pull the door apart as though its a sliding door, when its actually a normal door, a slider would slide to the outer frame... If you gona photoshop at least get it part right.
  22. Until they find a way to actually stop people from using mobile phones while driving, Texting, smoking, reading (I've seen it), doing makeup and all the rest of the stuff that some do, it wont matter what you wear.
  23. Cheers guys for the info, must have been removed then as there is nothing under the seat. I already have a sissy bar fitted, so she can make do with that, she works in accounts so is a bit OCD with things, if something should be there she wants it there. I will tell her its my bike and she will have to put up with it
  24. Went out for a ride on Sunday to do a little shopping with the wife on the back of my 650 Dragstar Classic. We parked up in Kettering next to another Dragstar, it was a custom, but the wife noticed it had a grab strap at the front of the passenger perch, she then asked why she hadn't got one on my bike, errr don't know replies me.... So, should the classic have one or were they just fitted to customs? If they were fitted to both (I cant really tell if there is a mount for it or not) anyone got any idea where I could get one from? Cheers
  25. Cant see it being a problem as you also seem to have Yamaha's.... And I am curious now to what the question is. By the way is the bike Green?
