Sadly mate don't have the know how nor the wonga to do that to the tank plus not sure if there is anyone in my general area that can do it so just getting my hands on someone else's garage throw out will be the better cheaper option. Yup gunna be my One off bike, break the mould and have a bike that only I and a select few weirdos like my self like ha ha. Just getting that itch and want the thing done so I can get on a ride.
  4. What was the issue to start with mate?
  5. Easy! it will only take you about 30mins to do it.

Well got into the shed last night and had a little play, didn't do much apart from mocking up a few bits and to see what things will look like, really not keen and the fuel tank now wiith the new bars so im hoping there will be some thing at the Haynes auto jumble this week end. Old tank with new bars and grips, tank just looks too bulky New location for the battery, will be making a box for it to go in along with the fuses. Rear mudguard All in all its looking good but the tank is letting it down now, once thats done and ive god a battery box made up and a few brackets to mount the tank done i can get the frame powdered and start putting things back on it.
  7. Come on...........................theres an auto jumble, AUTO JUMBLE!!!! Better than any birthday party, But saying that you could alway sneek out and say you left his present in the car, shoot down Haynes for an hour and pick him up a nice rusty spanner to give to him???
  8. Ill be there but will be in the cage with my little girl.
  9. Again, "most" folks such as my self dont own tyre levers but do own screw drivers. So this was one of those write ups to show how you can get a tyre off the red neck way. Ha ha
  10. Yer but come off it guys a fiver is a pint down the pub so if thats not worth it what is? ha ha. I don't take it as Criticism Slice im more than happy to recive help and advice.

Work done last night Yet more things ready for powder coating
  13. Well i need a new front tyre for the Dragstar and im also getting the rims and hubs powder coated and some new spokes, so i thought id have a go at removing the tyre my self to save a few pennies and this is how i did it (if you ever wanted to do it) TOOLS NEEDED: Two thick long screw drivers (i used a flat head and phillips head) WD40 (lube) Your foot To start with you will need a tyre to remove but do just go out and steel some poor fuckers wheel. Thats just not cool any more and remove ALL the air (take the valve out if you can) Remove brake disc place foot on the tyre by the rim and brake the beed. NOTE: jumping stamping screaming and the odd cuss is required Now jam in a flat head driver and hook it under the beed and pull it over the rim and hold it Place your second long thick driver between the rim and beed Now start to pull the beed over the rim with a flat head driver till its all out Like so Flip the wheel over and start jummping stamping screaming and cussing on the beed on the other side If this dosn't work jam your flat head driver between the rim and under the beed and prize it over like this Now prize it over the other side of the rim And now remove your tyre Wipe the swet from your brow and have a cuppa Job done
  14. Yer very good day bar the fact I hate what my belovid dogs have done to my grass ha ha, need to get out there One day and rip it all up and lay some heavy duty grass seed.
  15. Have you fitted after market pipes? if so you maybe getting too much air flow into the bike and not enough fuel. you will therefore need to put in bigger main jets in the carbs. quick check would be to take out your spark plugs, if they are black as the ace of spades you are getting too much fuel and need smaller jets, if they are white and full of powder then you have too much air and need bigger jets, but if they are a light brown (little like hay) then your running spot on.
  16. Na think its another case of yet another flux compasitor failure, never any fun trying to find a replacement

Well things are still on a go slow, gunna be buying the powder for the powder coating on payday, and got a chap coming out to do some welding for me, so going to have my exhaust re done short and stumpy with a 90 degree kick out, them cubby holes under the seat are going and replaced with a 50 cal ammo box for the battery and fuses and not to forget the chain sissy bar slash mud guard strut.
  20. Na it was a cracking day. Had a suprise bbq, three bottles of whiskey (half a bottle left tho ) got a new patch for my cut off and a plaque to go on the cave door. Will post pics tomorrow.
  21. Id say ride it, gain the riding knowledge that you need to stay alive on the road. Save your money to do your big boys test then buy a bike with more grunt. Its got the power of a dying badger for a reason. The reason is 16-17 year olds buy these bikes, so they dont want to send PC plod to every mummy and daddy telling them their little darling has decided they wanted to have a bit of fun and kickex the bucket. Power isnt everything..........knowing how to ride / drive and staying alive with all those wankers IS everything!!!!! Again, dont waiste your time or money on making a 125 go faster. Save it and learn to ride properly
  22. Fair One, them road flares fetch good dollar. Liking your foot well lights, I've got a set of red ones to put in my mr2
