Yer all is now dry here in Yeovil, nothing really major happened bar few tree's and branches on the deck. Just thought id post up to see if my biker mates are all good and well

Problem now solved, stuck new battery in and turned over still nothing. so took the statrer motor out and bench test it, nothing, took it apart and found that id stuck a washer in the wrong way round (twat springs to mind) stuck all back together and jobs a gooden.! Cheers for the help guys

Yer it take my little girl about 2-3 weeks to get back in the routeen but shes normally up at 8000hrs ish any ways

Well hoping that your all ok and nothing has been damaged or hurt? Driving to work this morning and i had to play tree surgion and rubbish man as the roads where covered in bin bags and trees. Some people are so stupid, they get given ample amounts of warning not to leave things out that could fly away, yet they still put rubbish bags out for the bin men to collect Any way i got the warm happy feeling that i helped a few people get to work after removing these items from the road and the cuppa tea at work tasted all the more better. Well here it is, the moment of truth. Went out into the shed yesterday and finished putting every thing on the motor and got ready to join the wires. there are no gaskets in the exhaust as i didn't want to crush them so she sounds a bit dodgy on the video, and the vibrations knocked my phone off the tool box ha ha. Onto the next job/s

Yer the red/orange is deliberate, stupid as it sounds i got the idea from the wifes hair dye black hair with red high lights and thought it could look good on the engine which im pleased to say it has (well i think so any way ha ha) Hopefully find out today if she fires up

Right after Work today I topped up the oil, put the carbs on and the wiring loom and strapped the motor to the work mate. Stuck the battery on charge and went to karate for 3 hours. Just got Home and charger says it's charged so plugged it all in and took spark plugs out and tried turning her over. NOTHING. All I'm getting is the starter relay clicking like mad and the starter motor trying to turn. Engine turns fine by hand so not fucked. You guys think I need a new battery, starter motor or starter relay?

Its the fuel pump priming the carbs, its all normal, engine warning light comes on just like all the lights on your car dash board does before you start the engine (like a systems check) if it goes out then your fine, the pump may go on for a little longer in hot weather as the fuel will have evaporated out the carbs thus the pump needs to prime more. Only panic if the engine warning light stays on after you've started the engine. Happy riding mate and enjoy

Thats it. End of all things to end. End of an end. Painted the last few covers on the engine and stuck on the inlet pipes and stood back to view my work, thing was tho i still had 45mins alotted time in the man cave and i had nothing else to do at that point so i just sat there looking at it.

Well went back into the man cave last night with the intension to just do a little bit to the bike and i think i acheived that. All the engine cases are finished and now bolted to the motor so she can now hold oil, ive only got to prep and paint the 4 rocker covers on the heads and thats the engine FINISHED!!!! Only taken me 5 months Things left to do are; Finish frame ready for powder coat Fit a metal rear mud guard as that plastic one is crap Fit chain sissy bar Kreem the fuel tank and paint it Powder coat rims and hubs Re-spoke wheels Wire up handle bars New brake pads and disc Fit indicators Tax and MOT (i think) Here are some pics of the engine now the orange bits are actually red its just the flash turned its orange for some reason.

I have already got some Hammerite BBQ spray paint that i bought at the start of this years build for the exhoust Tout so thats covered, even if i didn't have that paint already my budget is ok for that sort of thing, i just cant spend hundereds of quid on things now. Well what i can do is cut them down so that they are both the same length and keep them as straight cut and see what they look like, and if they look crap then its no hard ship cutting them into slashies. Yer i may have to buy a set of Baffles at one point in life, but ill see how long i can go with out them ha ha

Slash cut it is then ha ha. There is laws over here, but mostly goes down to what mood plod is in and if your acting like a cock then your getting a ticket. But I have been wrong lol. Touch wood I've not been pulled yet, had one officer tell me not to start her up till he had left the car park but that's bout it.

I have no baffles The baffles i had in them crumbled away and i like them more with out them to the truthful. at the moment (and stock) the front pipe is so much longer than the rear pipe so its taking longer for the front to get rid of the gasses, so my plan is to have then both the same length its just what tips to have. Im leaning to wards the slash cuts if im honest
