I remember that my XVS 125 had 120 before resurve and an extra 20 on resurve but i didn't risk more than 20 on resurve as i didnt wanna be bum loved in a dark field waiting for Mr RAC to bring me more fuel lol.

I got between 130-140 miles out of a full tank on my XVS 125 so are you sure you not got a fuel leak? lol I went out yesterday to work on the old girl, had a really good time, nice and dry till i went out at lunch time and there was a burst water main which i had to ride through so now i have a nice muddy black wet bike

Ive seen the air ambulance in action more times than i can count on both my hands. Majority of those times where when i was in the Army (we where a bunch of clumsy fucks lol) but two times it was an accedent involving a motorbike. Its such a fantastic bit of life saving kit and its stupid that the Government will not fund it! If they cant be arsed to fund it at least they should kill the VAT on the fuel it uses! For Christ sake we pay enough dosh for our petrol and dirty diesel to give them more than enough money in there back pocket to play with so i cant see their logic in wanting to make such a fantastic asset that is the air ambulance struggle in trying to save peoples lives!

Saving 1500 quid is not a drama. Taking three weeks off work.............NO WAY im a contractor and in those three weeks i will loose more than £1500! So.........Um.......NO lol

Im sure your be fine at restoring the bike with your skills with a wrench, think a bike being the same as a car just with two wheels missing and the engine strapped between your legs with your baby maker hovering just above it! Chrome is my pet hate, i loath the stuff, but its easy to restore. the paint work if its a bit tatty will come up a treat with some paint renovating polish, and as for getting it to start just change the spark plugs and give her fresh fuel and a fully charged battery then im sure that should at least give you some sign of her starting

I played drums is school but then gave it up after i left that school n went to a new school then they didnt do drum lessons so was bit pissed off bout that. The missus can play the pink Obo quite well lol

Yer the fins on the engine (barrels) they need to be earthed as they are electrical. Na if the starter motor is turning with out any problems and sounds good and strong and your charger says that the battery is fine then you can rule that out as a problem, just pop it on charge once a month and your be fine. Def sounds like a week or no spark or fuel problem. Try this first and we can go from there mate

If you think about it, its not going to be the battery, your getting power to the starter motor which is one of the biggest power drainers on the vehicle as its gotta turn every thing around to start the engine, and you say you plugged it into a charger which said its fine? so that would tell me that the battery is A OK. Take your spark plugs out with the HT leads still attached, place the electrodes one at a time onto the fins of the barrels to earth them and press your starter button, you should get a spark, do this on both plugs, if no spark then buy new plugs and do the same again. If still no spark then you will need new coils, Also when before you take the plugs out try to start it then take plugs out to check if they are wet with fuel, if there is no fuel on the plugs then there is a fuel problem. Either fuel pub shagged, clogged hose or just no petrol in the tank lol. Try this then report back
