  5. welcome mate... got an RXS100 myself which is ready for her MOT
  6. # dotn think the 250 SD speedo was that far out as it used to fairly steam along compared to the somewhat asmatic XS lol....either way i really liked it for plodding about and was very reliable... also loved the exhaust note considering it is a 4T lol the NSR125 was a good stroker but the 70s ones were abit pants... H100 as an example
  7. i dont have the hasssle of a ball and chain mate lol... so no hairspray in ere but can see what you mean and could be useful in future
  8. yes that is true Jim it was just a speedo reading of 99 so may well have been 95 or even 90 for all i know lol... i dont have a superdream now but i loved my old one for its road presence... used to lean that over at ridiculous angles with a set of Avon Roadrunners on it... oh happy days
  9. yep well 99MPH as never ever managed to reach the ton mark lol... nowhere near that with the XS mind... i think that topped out at about 90 lol my KH125 was nearly as fast as the XS and could whip its ass from a standing start..
  10. its done Jim lol... as in my previous post alot easier than i thought it would be and nothing to clean afterwards as there would have been if using washing up liquid or WD
  11. well lads it was a doddle... went out to put the sheet on the bikes and as usual ended up with the tools out, in the rain and dark to swap the bars over. i put the bar end with grip on it into hot water and with much heaving and many expletives it came off SHame the bars i put on are bloody awful apehanger types so will change em first chance i get
  12. well i had a 250 superdream back in 83 and i loved it... ok would only do 99 if you caned it but handling wise was the best bike i ever had... funnily enough i had an XS250 as well lol... liked it as well but not as much as the superdream and neither fo em matched my rd for speed or grin factor
  13. hhmmm will put the bar end in hot water and see if ti swell the rubber enough to pull it off lol... i dont have an airline so will try the water thing first i am not posh OG and dont possess any feeler gauges either lol
  14. I need to change the bars on the RXS and just wondered how you get the clutch side grip off without knacking it up...any ideas lads?

  16. Welcome Emma ( my fave girls name)
  17. dammit i have looked with a magnifying glass even and still cant see it... i do have circlip pliers but cant see the damn thing lol
  18. Guys i have managed to source a cheap master cylinder for the RS 125 DX and need to refurbish it... Now it says in Haynes to remove the dustcover then the circlip.. Thing is i have removed the dust cover but for the life of me i cant see a circlip in there and it wont allow me to pull the piston out. Have any of you lads done one of these or a similar one off a 70s disc brake yam stroker?... Kinda stumped what to do next
  19. it certainly does... or very similar... the brake light switch doesnt match but the MC looks almost identical... thanks fella
  20. ... can any of you ID this master cylinder assembly? Now its on my good RS and assumed it was the correct one for the bike however the RS125DX brake light switch doesnt fit and the brake lever is different.. Hope one of you lads knows as getting tired of ordering bits only to find the part i am replacing is none standard...
  21. you have done a cracking job and she looks most nice... these bikes have much more character than modern ones... Good job fella
  22. The problem would be actually getting there as i have no transport at the minute lol... i will see what i can find locally
